Great video thank you. I just got my Wheels back from our local Powder Coat guy and the orange peel is horrible. They look like alligator print so I am going to attempt to block them down and polish them. Did you ever make the follow-up video? Thank you.

Yes on most solid tones. Metallics is a no. Candies you can but you risk making uneven areas of color if you aren't careful

any common polish for paint or plastic would work
@turbulence86383 жыл бұрын
Funny. I have same problem and just invested in a shock collar. Lol. Cape cod polishing clothes won’t work for these scratches. What you could try is running compound then polish like you would for automobile paint. For example 3m perfect it has 1 2 and 3 polish that may work. Go online and purchase a kit of it. Shouldn’t be that expensive. Let me know because I have the same problems at my house.

I presume this would work on a prismatic ink black? There is no additional clear coat beyond the base. I have a small amount of brake fluid dribble a white stain on my calipers. I wonder if this technique will restore it.

yeah absolutely works on black, as far as removing the damage caused by fluid, I cant really say

Theres a lot of talk on Instagram about you doing some frivolous things but a lot of folks are chiming in to be victims. I hope its all fake... Damn
@UnknownCoatings4 жыл бұрын
Definitely isn't fake. Legitimately complaints and I assume it's the same group of 6 making the claims. As with anything in life it isn't always as cut and dry as someone says. I'll keep working to resolve the issue and the few of them who are being childish can keep that path if they choose. Won't let it change my willingness to help resolve the problem. And I won't stop putting out content to help others period.
@eyecandycoatings74804 жыл бұрын
Oh so now we the ones being childish huh. How about you man up to everyone and handle your shit instead of making excuses like you've been doing. If anyone is being childish its you. All us "childish" people want is our refund being that you obviously don't have the units but no you keep playing your "childish" games with everyone telling us you sent it out today but can't provide a tracking number then when called out about it, it's oh yeah sorry I I'm gonna be sending it out in a couples of days and this is back in October and now it's February and still no unit still no refund and no text or call back. Then I post asking how many people you owe money to and you delete my post and start moderating your page so you can pick and choose what people see and on top of all of this you have the nerve to tell me that I'm just trying to start drama when all I'm trying to do is get my refund back for a unit that you don't even have. Plus you've been using the same excuses to the ones that ordered back in July that are still waiting for a unit and now refund smfh. But yet we are the "CHILDISH" ones....??? Oh and so

I realize this is old but I would feel remiss without commenting. I have never in my 41 years come across someone so willing and happy to share, teach, and even motivate absolute strangers. I have learned SO much about his industry, the very thing that puts food on his table from him for free. He doesn’t bombard us with requests to buy anything from him or support him financially in any way. It is for these reasons that I find it VERY hard to believe that this man is purposely being deceitful in anyway. Just look at his response here he doesn’t even deny that there was a legit complaint!! And that he’s trying to remedy it! Now read the response from eye candy coatings. I have watched countless hours of this man giving away all his trade secrets for free, I have emailed him with questions and received prompt professional and extremely helpful answers. I would 100% deal with Shawn without hesitation in the future.
