Very good polishing results, good job, fantastic Stones👏👏👏 7:46 Such cracks can be caused by too much heat during polishing. A few Tips to make polishing easier for you: A hard felt Disc with Alumina is ideal for polishing Agates. If you use a stand or a base for the Machine, it will be more comfortable to work and you will have better control over the Stone. A small container for a slow but continuous addition of water on the disc is extremely helpful and saves you a lot of Time✌

If I can I’ll find you some nice pieces to put into the package I am one day going to return to you and everyone else who’s sent me stuff. I’m the worst at being organised. Like terrible terrible... I’m so glad you approved of the polishes from what you saw on the video man. There’s sometimes very tiny itty bitty swirl scratches but you have to look really hard and close in the right light. The polish actually helped get rid of them this time which was awesome! But yeah dude, you’re definitely not alone in the enjoyment of such a rad pass time. Hope you’re keeping well Shaughn my good friend. Have a brilliant week a rad dude. Talk to you soon!

You're on the right track, but dendrites are almost 2 dimensional, as they form from minerals percolating in via fractures. They fan out wherever they can, but they happen after the agate is mostly or totally complete. These tubes occur while the vesicle still contains gel nearly to the edge, therefore much earlier.

Hey man, at work we have these little pneumatic switches you work with your foot, so you can leave a piece of equipment "on" but switch it off and on hands-free. Would something like that help so you can use both hands to hold the piece during polish? Or do you need to mount the grinder to make it hands-free? 6:15 unlikely olivine, that's usually down deeper in the basalt than you would find vesicles. Usually green in vesicles is chlorite, pumpellyite, celadonite, or epidote. 9:36 nice rhyolite! You can get rhyolite and basalt in "bimodal volcanism". 12:18 yes, tube agate. :) I will get into that a little bit in my 300 SubSpecial, I'm doing a whole video (possibly a series depending on how detailed we get...) explaining what I've learned recently about agates and how they form. Great stuff! Worth the wait (cuz I had to wait all day to see it)!

Hey Adam!!!! Man I reckon one of those switches would be awesome. I actually want to set up something more permanent in my garage but it’s a massive shambles in there at the moment and I feel like I could need an extractor or something to minimise the dust. Sitting with it has pros and cons though. It does help when working fiddly edge or curved face cause I can tilt it to see what kind of contact I’m getting between the pad and the stone. But I could still do that on a stand up height bench probably. Aye! Epidote! I reckon that’s what it is! And dude I can’t wait to watch the 300 sub (congratulations btw) video. So interested. And that’s cool, so I think that’s what this volcanic system was. Basalt and Rhyolite. Not sure if it was at the same time or hundreds of thousands of years apart but it could be? In all honesty to become a master at something you have to develop your own techniques and tools. That's how it's done!

Its strange to see the difference in rhyolite! mine is so pumice like, and yours is so fine grained. It's funny to think that it was all just a slurry of acid superheated water silica Ash carbon random other chemicals and elements that flowed like mud. A horrible mess really. Slap a lake over it for a few million and boom perfect!

Hahaha! Dude! I love your explanation. It’s a mess! Slap a lake over it and boom! Perfection!

Good morning Jesse, this was a wonderful start to my Friday morning. I was most impressed by the specimen with the beautiful green edging, also I'm quite happy to see that you were able to reconnect that little nodule to the Galaxy Stone . Best regards and well wishes as always from your friend Lloyd somewhere here in Southern Ontario Canada.

G’day Lloyd!!!!! Oh now that green edged one was a surprise even to me. Only little but I mustn’t have noticed the details when I picked it up in the creek. It was only after the cleaning that I realised how beautiful it was. Have a brilliant week ahead brother! See you on the next one bud. 👊👊👊

And great job with the freeform... They are all so pretty... I loved every bit of this... Take care bro and I'll talk to ya soon. Hugs to you and the familam!🤗

Hey Marlaina!!!!! Sorrrry super late reply! Oh gosh you can try the polishing pad but it wasn’t the best haha! It was harder to hold the rocks on there. I did notice a difference in the polish however which was cool. I hope you and the familam are doing well and I will definitely be talking to you soon to. Sending mega love to you n yours Mar!!!

Lovely rocks! At the 7 minute mark I have a biggish one just like that. It won't fill out inside either, but there's plenty in it. I might email a couple of photos of it. Hoping to be able to cut it one day. It's too big for my saw. Love the amygdaloidal basalt with all the little agates too. Your Stairway to Heaven piece - I'm pretty sure those scuffs/cracks are from forcing it too much on the saw. I've done it myself, that's how I know. Top video, and I love how you admire everything that goes with fossicking, such as the Blue Triangle Butterfly and the Rhyolite that most people would snub. Cheers.

Michael mate! How are youuuuu! Yeah that one at 7 mins was really weird hey. I could tell there was chalcedony with little agate lines through it inside but it just was that way all through. Strange but really cool. Not the best for lapidary stuff but something to wonder about haha! Oh no! Okay, the stairway to heaven one... see now I’ve seen these before and I wasn’t sure but thought that might have been the case. Like it got too hot or the pressure just lightning bolt cracked it. Thanks man for clearing that up for me! Ah man the Rhyolite and nature in that area are just beautiful. I actually was taking the shot and panning down the creek when the butterfly photo bombed the video haha! It was a perfect accident. I’m interested to see what you think of my next video in a week and a half’s time. It’s no music and no talking. A little bit arty but who knows, I thought I’d try it and it’s pretty peaceful. 😉 Take care mate and talk soon!

Gorgeous Gorgeous Candy! Brother! This makes me almost anxious to share my finds to show you how uncannily similar yours are to mine from AZ. My available tech was passable two years ago but upgrades are happening faster than my interest. Being left in the dust here. But I guess this is where the rocks are. Keep doing what you do, Jesse. I'm sure new angles will make themselves known. I'm heading out in a couple days to pop some Apache Tears out of Perlite boulders...to take a break from all the damn Chalcedony and Agate. Love you, brother!
