@@JamesCrandallPainting Hi James, I've been playing with your methodology a bit and really like it. Something you might want to try is to play with the noise filter and try reduction. It can take some of the distracting patchiness out of some areas.

Thanks for a very helpful video . A continuation illustrating how the preceeding techniques might be employed in an actual painting seems a logical next increment in this video series . Watching you translate the 3-4 shades of grey into a usable underpainting would have value to painters looking to up their game & speed up their process using newly found virtual tools . I suspect there to be more than a few subtleties in the proceedure that might escape we newly introduced artisans .
