Thank you for uploading this video. I am a painter and enjoy painting flowers and the like. I am very curious of this plant but because it does not grow here and I have no in-person reference, it was hard for me to visualize how it appears in real life. Your video allowed me to see how it looks in the flesh. What an amazing plant. The colors are so beautiful it almost looks like velvet. Have a beautiful day. :)

I planted 2 of my 3 bulbs yesterday in a heavy frost proof pot, I await next summer with great anticipation! Although I think I may have to excavate the bulbs, I planted the 'tooth' pointing down 🙄 I was happy to find a UK based channel with so much of interest to me and my little Northern garden! 😁

I have a few of these growing but they will not flower for me. I'm fairly sure they are not getting enough sun. I've been warned the flowers stink but I can't say. You can let me know.

I live in western washington state, I've grown a few of them, lol - they're great for playing pranks! I set a planter under my housemate's window once, it was hilarious - of course I confessed and we had a good laugh! The flowers are so beautiful, its worth the odor, IMHO...Could it be that yours isn't blooming because of lack of heat units? I don't know if these are heavy feeders, but maybe it needs something to help it bloom? Don't give up!

@@beaupeep Oh dear, they haven't even come up for me this year. I grow them outside and we've had a cold spring and cool summer. Also I mulched the bed a bit heavy this year so that could have been it. I haven't given up on them completely but if they have bough the farm lol, I'll try them again in full sun. Now if I get a flower, I can think of some people Lol.

@Lindyloo Puppy willy???? Do I want to know lol. About four years old now and I have three big healthy plants, perfect for the jungle part of the garden but no sign of a flower yet.
