Oh thank the heavens for y’all!! My teddy (videos of him on my channel ) is very young but having accidents in house still. (He’s gotten very good at going outside but not with telling me it’s usually just me bringing them out every 40 minutes lol) He is an 11 week old rescue- adopted him from VSO nurse previous owners from Brooklyn New York, they were not allowed to have any animals in their apartment but snuck Teddy in after paying $2800.. I guess I did not research the breed… The landlord lives right underneath them so I imagine they do not know he grows to size of Clifford haha but sadly they had them in a crate for most of a day.. now he has with the doctor told me a separation anxiety.. but he’s just such a mush, anybody who meets him falls in love instantly call and he’s so well behaved, but I’ve kind of encouraged the accidents by usual my wee wee pads ? (I was told and read that) but he knows to use them only… idk. Love the channel!!! I cannot believe I did not know anything about these dogs until Teddy

Our 3-month-old Berner is just fine during the night. She wakes us (4 to 5 hours) to let her out, comes back in and goes back to sleep. (no accidents) During the day is another story. We have followed every hour potty breaks and she does her business however she could be back inside for 20 or 30 minutes and just let’s go, even peeing while she is walking to the door. Thoughts?

I am picking up my puppy this upcoming thursday. The Breeder told me that it has access to food all the time free fed. How do I schedule a new feed time for him?

my gf and i a week ago adopted 1yo puppy mill bernese. we are having a very very hard time trying to potty train. we walk her every 2 hours and about 15 minutes after eating and drinking. its been about 7 days and she has only evacuated about 5 times, most of those times is immediately after we bring her back in from a walk. only twice has she pooped outside and never peed outside. is there anything we can do differently to help our girl along? maybe take the pee and poop outside to her spot so she can smell it there and know thats where she should potty? that was my next idea. any ideas?

Thanks! It's my first full week with my Berner puppy and we've been going every hour on the hour. She's down to 1 or 2 accidents a day. My questions are: Do I wake her from a nap to keep it on the hour every hour? 2) if I take her to the same spot (sometimes she gets distracted by looking at things - how do I ensure she's concentrating) 3) if she only goes a little bit outside, and then has an accident later inside = do I still do hour on hour or do I go back outside in 10mins? (I always wait 15 mins when outside to ensure she tries to go 1,2 or 3 times when she dribbles. Hoping you can provide some insight :)

Usually how many weeks can I start changing the hour to hour routine to every 2-3 hours? Also, any recommendation for cleaning product that can remove the smell of the urine if my pup had an accident on the carpet?

Hi guys, i have a question, do you leave the water down all day in order for him to be able to drink all day? Because when we do that he has a lot of accidents in the house... Would it be better if we give him water everytime he eats & remove it after he eats/drinks?

I am ready to rehome my grandsons bermese if he hadnt have paid so much for her i would have given up by now , i am a very firm believer in not yelling or hitting any animal . This dog has me at my wits ends she is 5 months old i take her out every hour and after she eats or play shes been to the vets as well for this problem we have spent an extra 700 dollars just for this at the vets , but still she pees on average 7 times in house and poohs 2 times in house , i am done taking her to vets , i dont know what to do , i am tired of crying about this , my husband past 3 yts ago and built me this home and one dog is going to ruin it , help

On the hour, every hour. What if the puppy doesn't do anything for 10 min? Do we take them out only until the next hour or before? And what do we do at night?

Hey Andriana, it's giving them the opportunity to go and they'll learn, if you stick to a routine, that's when they can go. With night time, we recommend taking their water away from them an hour before bed time then taking them our for a their last toilet break just before you put them to bed. This should help stop any accidents over night 😊

I'm gonna get my puppy ALREADY POTTY TRAIN, problem solved. If he goes number 1 or 2 he will most definitely get punished. Also when he becomes an adult 100% outside dog he will be with his huge black 6 feet fence dog kennel enough room to run jump and play. Plus his dog house will be big with air conditioning inside.

It’s always our fault when our puppies potty in the house. Our 3 month old Bernie does great until I don’t pay close attention.
