How to pour a concrete floor for an existing garage.
In this video I'm showing you how to pour a garage floor that's 32' x 24' x 4" thick.
The concrete for this garage floor is a 3500 psi mix with micro fiber mesh. I also installed a 6 mil poly vapor barrier to help block moisture from coming up through the concrete.
My technique for pouring a concrete floor is basically mix the concrete to a workable slump (how wet or dry it is) then pour out most of the concrete.
I set my center grade using a Laser Level (link down below) and I float my edges to the chalk line grade I established earlier on the foundation walls.
I screed the concrete floor (it slopes from back to front 2.5") then I bull float the concrete smooth.
That's the basic pouring technique I use for all my concrete floors, especially garage floors.
