I recently discovered that my thumb size changes a lot. So when I saw Andrew making sure he gets the proper thumb fit it opened my eyes. Thanks, I needed that!

That is just one of the things I love about interchangeable thumb inserts. They truly are a game changer. Then it is just fine tuning with fitment tape, which I believe is one of the most important bowling accessories that is also underutilized by so many.

About a month ago, I really started practicing differently. I record my entire practice sessions. That is invaluable. It really is the only way to accurately analyze your mechanics. I no longer focus on the scoreboard at all. I am simply focused on doing drills and my mechanics when I used to just go bowl. In just about a months time I have been able to greatly improve my game. I also make sure to drill at home daily because I can't get up to the bowling center daily but I think it is important to work on it daily. Lastly, I work out 5 days a week. Being at your best physically is paramount to getting better as a bowler. This includes diet. I can't tell you how many bowlers I see at every level that miss this point and some of them are really good bowlers. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing some truly great tips! To paraphrase, "Practise to make good and better shots. Do not be hung up on strikes and score. If we focus on improving the process, scores will follow naturally." 😎

@3min What bag is that you keep your tape and thumb slugs in? I like that!

Thanks for the insight into your practice. I def agree and prefer a purposeful practice session over just going to bowl. One of my favorites is golf, trying to pick the corners clean and keep the score as low as possible. Helps with targeting, timing, and release as well, plus it’s fun and competitive with a friend practicing with you. So it can be a bit of mental game training too. Performing under pressure in one on one competition.

quality practice, oh yeah!!!! I was lucky enough to watch you play when you came to Hong Kong and took a selfie with you back in 2018 Dec 1st. So good to see you doing well and know about your practice routines. All da best with your nationals.

Thank you for the tips! I've been videotaping some of my shots but definitely need to do more if im not feeling good about practice as you suggested. I'm starting to do as many drills at home as I can and it absolutely makes a difference on the lanes.

Like the videos. Can you do one with the different motiv ball care and maintenance products. Gel shine, scuff, cleaner and how they affect different covers and what to use to apply them?

Thank you so much for these informative videos! I know you say that you practice on sports pattern and rarely a house shot, so… My question is, I plan on bowling on more challenge/sports patterns but I also want to keep on working to improve my spare shooting game especially on sport shots. Should I be practicing on a sports pattern to work on my spares or is it fine to practice spares on a house shot?

What are you using to carry your bowling supplies? I need a backpack and the storage case for more turbo thumbs, tape, etc.

Do you ever deal with muscle cramps in competition? During the summer months, specifically, for myself, after long format events, I tend to get muscle cramps in my forearm and hand. I try to stay hydrated before and during bowling. If you do get cramps, what do you do to resolve them while in competition?

In a upcoming video can you explain why you tape your fingers and how to tape them ? Could you do a video comparing the Venom EXJ vs VIP EXJ SIGMA (which by far is my favorite ball to date). Also another idea you should do a poll of what Motiv ball from the past you should do a video on. Great content.
@dieseldood29 күн бұрын
I have both balls. They are great compliments to each other. The Venom is MUCH earlier and works great for me in the fresh. Then when the lanes break down I go to the Sigma. When the get more broke down I go to the Shock.

If you don't have the time to practice. Use your leagues as practice. The scores will come in time as long as you put the effort in.

I tried talking to you last year in Reno after you bowled. N you seemed pretty upset said you didn't bowl well then didn't wanna talk after that. Kinda got a little bummed about that. But I know how it is after a bad block. But hopefully you bowl well this year in Vegas man. Awesome seeing you make a KZbin channel
