Been playing for 35 years now…. Adopted and worked real hard at heel toe for 2 years. Was getting pretty good at it with good speed. But….. some miss hits…..bit of instability. These exercises really nailed it! Exactly what I was missing to get precise and confident. Super good lesson thx a million Cameron!

Love how your pedals are constructed at the rear hinge, where your heel is. What brand are they? Great vids

What's a good brand of pedals to start with. I got this very inexpensive set from guitar center that don't look as long as the ones you have. I was wondering if that is my problem.? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hard to say, I've been doing it for a few years. If anything I've found it to be easier on my joints.

I'm struggling like hell to do fast doubles; maybe if I triggered my kick, it'll turn out I'm actually doing better than I thought 😅 Do you find heel toe is more effective on pedals without the traditional heel plate?

I've been working this technique for a few weeks now. Everything's sounding OK and I can use both feet. But I'm kind of stuck at 180 bpm. Is it normal to plateau? I know it's only been a few weeks but should I just keep going at that tempo until I can do it without thinking? I was jumping tempos super quick for the first 2 weeks.

Do I need a good quality pedals to be able to learn this? Whats the ideal tension of the pedal? should it be loose or tight?
@austinkeller481
@austinkeller481 2 жыл бұрын
Long board direct drive pedals are the best option and tighter spring tension for more rebound and a decently tight kick head also u might want to look into a trigger for the kick drum thats a whole other mission for the pedals tho most are expensive af look into some pedals i use call "pdp concept direct drive double pedals" theyre a bad ass set of affordable pedals good luck man

Np man just remember heel toe is more of a feel so feel for the rebound

Im still watching this and it made me realize that im actually doing for example: LR L instead of doing LLR. is this going to be a problem? I guess so
@CameronFleury
@CameronFleury 2 жыл бұрын
The only reason we're doing LLR instead of LRL is so that we can get back to our lead foot (R foot). I think that's what you were asking?
