A prayer, my sisters, brother and I were taught at our mothers knee, while we were preparing for our first reconciliation and Holy Communion was. Infant Jesue come to me, Infant Jesus stay with me, My heart is so small, Though fillist it all, There is room for no one, But Thee. I still love this wee prayer, and each time I pray it, it brings back wonderful memories of my beautiful mummy ❤ ♥ . I truly love your teachings, thank you for bringing me closer to my Almighty Father God and Our Blessed Mother.

I’m 66 and was raised Catholic. My family was very devout. I knew the prayer before meals, but had never heard of a prayer after meals. My grandma said the rosary, but it kind of had a falling off shortly after she died, and wasn’t some thing that was talked about in Ism before my first communion or leading up to my confirmation. It wasn’t even talked about in adult, religious education classes. It’s no wonder that I fell away from the church and looked for something else that was more prayerful. I have come back to the Catholic Church, just within the past few months. I am amazed at how much I didn’t know because no one was talking about it when I was growing up.

Here in the Diocese of Philadelphia, our Bishops have put the Saint Michael Prayer back into use,at the end of our Mass. Hi i was baptized catholic as an infant. Due to a bunch of things like my mom getting sick, us moving to a different state and my dad having to work two jobs to support a family of 4 and a sick wife we never really got back to church and the few times we went it was a baptist church. They both passed away in 2011 and I’ve had a rocky road to where i am now which is deciding to go to bible study and will be doing RCIA in the fall. It’s extremely difficult to figure out exactly what to expect. Y’all want to do a video on that? Be cool if you did lol any how this comment is longer than expected so I’m going to cut it off. BTW thank you for this video. Will be great to work these in along with the rosary.

I love the Litany of Humility and really need it. However, I am a a boomer who was primarily in a primary school right after Vatican II, and was definitely trained as what Bishop Robert Barron called "happy-clappy Catholics". This meant that apart from the Our Father, Glory Be, and Hail Mary and of course the sign of the cross, we were told that ritual prayer was not needed, and what was important was that God was love and we should talk to Him in our own words. I didn't learn an Act of Contrition and was told to speak to God in my own words -- and really got confused when a priest during reconciliation was angry with me that I didn't know the Act of Contrition/

Another I’ve learned when I dipped my finger on the font for Holy Water I let a dropped a Holy Water first before making sign of the cross and add- “and may the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace” - even just one poor soul that is relieved in purgatory is great. Also when you say the prayer before meal I add the prayer for poor soul as well. Litany of Humility we pray before praying the rosary it is like an examination of your conscience

Thank you for a great show guys. You have provided a great overview of set prayers in the Catholic tradition. However, by titling the show How to pray like a Catholic, you give the impression that set prayers are the way that Catholics should pray. Such prayers are beautiful and should be part of a Catholic's prayer life, but by not mentioning spontaneous personal prayer, just talking to God, or such practices as lectio divina, the episode gave the impression that other forms of prayer are not as important. As a Catholic, the set prayers were a part of my prayer life. What was lacking was the more personal prayer from the heart or the importance of remaining silent before God. I know you are familiar with these more personal forms of prayer, but many Catholics are not. Perhaps another episode could be More Ways To Pray Like A Catholic. Thanks for your work

I have had Hallow for over a year or two now. We are poor and they raised the price of it a bit, but of all the Catholic apps there are, Hallow is worth every single penny!!!! I have learned a lot of the prayers they said here in this video on Hallow. To save money since they raised the price, some good friends and I along with my sister-in-law got together and set up a group membership. So we each paid $20 for a year subscription instead of $70 for the year. My sister-in-law and I agreed it's totally worth every penny of the $70 but being poor it's better to pay $20 for sure.

I saw the episode with the live Q&A. I don't know why you guys got the hate. This show helps me with my faith. You guys aren't perfect, but I can see you guys are trying. Recently, I came to the realization of what Jesus said about not judging others instead taking a look at ourselves. We get too focused on what others are doing wrong instead of focusing on what we are doing right. Unless, it's clearly against the teaching of the church, there shouldn't be any hate. Another saying comes to mind. Preach the gospel. If you have to use words. I'm paraphrasing, but that's the idea I'm talking about.
