Pastor Vlad I have been beating myself up for months because I haven’t gotten on my knees to pray and worship my Father. Last night I did and the arthritis takes my heart off of the Lord and onto it. I can’t stay long so I was feeling like a failure at my worship and loving on my Father and showing Him respect and thankfulness, reverence. It was starting to take over my prayers. God our precious Father is so awesome and amazes me daily. When I listened to this I knew exactly it was Him telling me it doesn’t matter how my body is positioned when I pray. It matters where my heart is positioned. I pray every night before sleep. I pray when I wake up through the night. I pray before I open my eyes in the morning and from the time I stand up till I go to bed I’m praying. I don’t know if praying is the same as talking to Him about everything, but I know I can’t go a few minutes without loving on Him or asking Him what He wants in me doing this or that. He lives in me so I talk to Him all day and night. I can’t imagine not talking to Him always. Ty for this message and for all your messages. They help in so many ways. ❤

The Lord's flesh has been with him since the day he bodily resurrected and is still with him in heaven. In short, accepting the flesh of Jesus Christ simply means that you accept Christ's body was broken for you. If you still can't understand this simple truth, go to a doctor and scan your stomach after you have had the bread and wine from your church. You won't find anyone's flesh and blood in there, but the bread and wine you ate and drank as it is.

I am convinced that Mary prayed for me when I asked and was key to helping save my marriage. As I sat in Mary’s chapel in Westminster Cathedral I prayed that she would help my wife and my children. At that moment the clouds must have passed long enough to allow a stream of beautiful sunlight come in the window, quickly followed by the sounds of children playing from a nearby school I was not aware of beforehand. She listened that day I am sure of it. Thank Mary for helping my family, and thank you God the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit for being patient with me as I fought off temptations and for turning my heart of stone to a heart of flesh 🙏 I pray to Mary and the Saints not to idolise them but to request their help in praying for those in my life.

I reccomend you reading the book of John, then Matthew, Mark, and Luke. Then read the book of Acts. Acts 2:38 Peter Replied, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit. Praying to dead people is not doing anything for you. Only through Jesus Christ is where you can recieve Eternal Life. You don't need Mary or any dead person that can't hear or see you for you to recieve God's gift. Gods gift is right in front of you to take it. You don't have to work hard for it. When you pray to Mary, you are in violation of the scriptures. In 1 Timothy 2 : 5 , the scripture says, " There is one God and one MEDIATOR between God and mankind the man Christ Jesus , who gave himself for us. It's idolatrous when catholics referred to Mary as mediator. If I can ask other Christians to pray for me in church, why cant I ask saints who are in Heaven to pray for me as well? I dont know if my fellow christians in church are going to Heaven for certain. The saints like Saint Paul and Peter are certainly there. Therefore why would I hesitate to ask them to pray for me since they are already in the presence of God and more closely united to Him?

When praying Hail Mary, we are actually praying through Mary to the Father and asking her to make our prayers stronger, as she is already full of grace and God is with her. Denying Mary is somehow denying God, as He chose her to be the mother of Jesus, our Savior. Without her fiat, there wouldn't have been Jesus in human form. So, God loves her the most among created beings. So, veneration of Mary and Saints is one of the major distinctions between Catholics and Protestants.

Not to start a fight, but no not really. Sure, I’m the grand scheme of things it started ‘early’. But in reality, the oldest references to praying to the dead for intercession only date to the 3rd Century. Meaning we have at least a 167 Year gap. Meaning we can say fairly certainly that it wasn’t taught by the apostles or the early church fathers. If it was, we would Likely have older references than the 3rd century. (As far as I understand it) it’s believed that prayers to the saints originated from a branch of Judaism that believed the angles could pray for humans). Now I believe that Praying to the saints is heretical, If not demonic in nature. God forbid the communication to the dead. We, as living humans were not to ‘summon’ or talk to the dead. There wasn’t a ‘heaven’ or ‘hell’ principle placed on this either. The book of Samuel even records an instance of a Seer summoning the spirit of Samuel for king Saul. It’s regarded as an evil act, even though Samuel was obviously saved. (I don’t mean in heaven as obviously only the sacrifice of Jesus could Atone. For sin). Plus, on this note we have Paul’s statement “for we have one high priest and one mediator between man and God, The Lord Christ Jesus”. (I’ll admit I am quoting from memory, because I cannot for the life of me find the exact verse). I think it’s wrong to pray to saints, but in some sense, it’s more pointless. The saints are in heaven, they can’t hear us. But Jesus Christ can. We ask the saints for intercession when we have a direct line to the Father through The Holy Spirit and Christ.

I can see many people here, and rightly so, ask for prayers within this KZbin thread. That means they have confidence in all our prayers and intervention, puny as we are, with all our lapses and weaknesses. We are no saints yet (unless incredibly vain and conceited). How much more can we rely on the great men and women of God who were utterly faithful to God and His teachings and loved Him even unto death/martyrdom. They're now living eternal life with God. There are many references to them in Scripture, these Blessed who have had their reward, and still inspire and grant favours to people to this day.

So in that sense there’s nothing wrong with asking someone on earth “to ask or petition” God on your behalf. But why would it be wrong to ask someone in heaven to do the same?
