Another informative episode - thanks for covering matte finishes. Curious as to the use of a lubricant on the lug screws. Most automotive wisdom declares this to be a big no no. It may lead to over-torquing of the fastener or having them back out. I was always told to install them clean and dry.

I appreciate all your videos iv leard alot from them I will be restoring my pickup with a full paint job with clear coat if you have the opportunity to do a coating on a freshly painted vehicle I'm sure there are more people then me that would like to see how that's done thanks I will be letting my truck sit for at least 2 months before I attempt it again thanks .

Normally...30 days is plenty of time for clear to fully cure...then you can protect it.

Awesome video. Matte paint is definitely something I want on a car of mine in the future. Is matte paint harder to scratch and harder to see if scratched, cuz the hills and valleys… Also is there like clear coat or UV inhibitors build into the paint, or a matte clear on top or what?

About the same hardness as gloss clear....but much harder to see scratches. The clear is actually what is matte, satin , or stealth.

Would you recommend detailing the wheels and wheel arches, etc., before doing the exterior wash and iron decontamination, so that you don't disturb brake dust and get it on the car's painted surfaces between cleaning and final protection coatings?

Coat the gloss with a regular coating...and the stripe with Gyeon Matte.
