As someone with lymphocytic leakemia, no massage drains lymph nodes....
@hanzib315 жыл бұрын
I'm glad someone said it. It's such a load of crap. If your lymph nodes are functioning well, they drain themselves. Almost as bad as all those "liver detox" products. Your liver does that job on its own. You can't "detox" using products or teas. 🙄 I hope you're doing well ❤️
@missiworld5 жыл бұрын
EXACTLY. Lymphatic drainage massage doesn't exist. All you're doing is massaging the muscles of the face and neck an possibly applying enough pressure to help remove some sinus pressure. And the truly unfortunate thing is that the market has become so saturated with products to help with "lymphatic drainage" that it's difficult for a regular person to access any clinical or scientific information about its -lack- of efficacy without running into information that has been written by companies selling related products. Unless someone has a thorough understanding of how to read through medical journals (and has access to them through their work or university), then they have no way to be scientifically literate on the subject.

Observation! you don't exfoliate skin or lips right before applying makeup, specially if are prone to acne, bacteria can spread and get an infection, and besides with exfoliation pores will open and you don't want the chemicals and coloring of make up going into the pores, it is very aging...... the exfoliation should take place the night before

You're gorgeous even without make up.. 😍😍😍 Natural beauty.. ✨✨✨

If you have spots acne etc you should not massage over them though! Plus dermatologists don't support massages over bones such as the collarbone. With thin skin it can heavily damage the several skin layers on top of the bone. (my dermatologist freaked out when he saw me do this)

But stretching your skin that much is not gonna cause wrinkles??????
@liisviis5 жыл бұрын
Actually massaging your skin makes it tighter because it raises the elasticity of the skin and lymphatic drainage gets rid of toxins and excess water so the skin has quicker cell turnover and better absorption of skincare ingredients.

I went for lymphatic drainage massages to a physical therapist, so I can tell the girls are using wayyyy too much pressure. It's really difficult to explain what the correct amount is, so see a professional who can perform the massage and teach you how to do it yourself. Rule of thumb is if your skin is turning red, you're pressing too hard. The lymph is right under the skin, so if you're pressing hard enough to move muscle, you're actually blocking the paths. Lymphatic drainage massage is a great thing, but I'd be cautious of the technique featured in this video.
