Great as always buddy , I also went to school hear in UK from 1997 to 2000 and they always told us use black guide coat , your tip using the colour is great a lot of people including myself would not think of that 😎

Yes, I’ve always used black myself but if you’re blocking a black car it’ll be some what confusing if you cut below the primer

Great stuff as usual! Question: Do you ever have to sand the sealer? Wet sanding the primer takes off the highs and orange peal, but doesn't spraying sealer also introduce orange peal or does it lay flat without the need for sanding?

You don’t have to sand the sealer. It will be orange peel no matter what but it’s reduced so it’ll lay out much smoother

sure appreciate the priceless knowledge bombs you drop. plus, mad respect for the if ya gonna do the work then do it right work ethic coming from a young fella (i'll be 51 in May this year. if i make it!). i've been learning as i go resurfacing bathroom walls after stripping 2 layers of wallpaper off (base layer was on for longer than i've been alive.) for a project for my Ma's house. drawing inspiration from one of your previous guide coat videos, i went ahead and took an HB drawing pencil (dead middle of graphite hardness) to put small squiggly lines all over before i started the skim coat process. i let the weight of the pencil be the only applied pressure. i've been taking 1 mud pan at a time, mixing in h2o & dish soap to a smooth kinda like cake icing consistency. i'm not trying to make the pencil lines disappear on 1 pass, just been applying the skim coat. let it dry, knock off my high points, and light sand, with a 3M 220/320 sponge for automotive sanding, my blends. repeat the process until i can't see the lines. i'm almost done with this process, and i'll know that i'll have smooth flat walls for when i paint. just gotta give ya credit, and let you know how much i appreciate the value of your channel. thank you sir! ✌️🐝➕ edit: just throwing this out there, but maybe checkout hexagonal led garage lights for replacing your burnouts ✌️🐝➕
