I have about 8 aerosol cans and almost a gallon of the other Pre-Prep left, but will probably get the new green version when I get low. You do a great job with these videos dude!

I can’t find any videos regarding parts that have pem nut inserts. My company has many parts that require pems. We opted to powder coat before peming. However I have received mixed feedback. I like to pem before PC to cut labor time down but engineers are concerned the pem will not hold if we pem after PC. If anyone has any knowledge on this please comment.

Does powder coating hide any imperfections? Ex. light sanding marks from a DA

Powder coating will fill in minor sanding marks. I'd recommend sanding up to at least 220 grit to be safe. -JD

Do you have to sand off the pre prep phosphorus coating prior to painting, or leave it on and go straight to cleaning then paint? Thanks for the videos. They are short and to the point.

I always like to clean off the zinc-phosphate coating left by Fast Etch. However, I don't mess with Chromic acid. It does work well but it's too risky for my taste. I do good scuff with a Scotch-Brite followed by a ton of pre-painting prep. I've never had any problems; this method does take some elbow grease compared to an acid bath though. -JD

All the paint shops close to me tell me to stay clear of ANY sandblasting simply due to the damage it causes.
