Traditionally we put a chunk of pork lard in the middle or wipe it around a skrillet to make it less sticky. Moo Kata also really goes well with Thai Suki dipping sauce which is great for kids (orange color with sesame one and not too spicy) Just for the tip! ;D

i have been craving this for so long my friend is from thailand and we used to do this all the time. I live for the cantonese suki sauce she gets for us. Honestly, when we go out to any restaurant with her that serves hot pot or kbbq, she brings a container of that sauce in her purse for US LMAO

Traditionally we like to put a 'knob' of pork fat (from pork belly) on the very top of the pan to render the fat and let it coat the pan a little to prevent the meat from sticking. And even when do it with non-stick pan, we still put a knob on because, you know, the flavours AND when that knob of fat shrinks and become crispy it's SOOOO GOOD!! Dip it in the sauce, any sauce you like and chomp on it!

Hearing she said 'Moo Krata' and 'Nam Jim Jaew' made me realize that she doesn't speak Thai haha. And that's okay! I love her. (No bad feelings and I'm not shaming her. I think she's so cute and it's nice that she's keeping the culture that's part of her through food. Food is the best part of a culture! lol Imagine knowing a person that's half or has part of your ethnicity, you would be wondering, 'Oh! does she speak the language too?' It's one thing that bonds people of the same culture together but not necessarily the only one, food does too!)

She's half Filipino and Thai. She had may got Thai and Filipino languages by her parents in the basic level just like any immigrant kids. If you don't know her background so much, I recommend to watch "Immigrant Corned Beef" about her and her family deeply in her own channel, Just Eat Life. I will put it down below : m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYTEioqBjrOKnrc

The dipping sauce "nam jim seafood" is actually named like that because back then we, as Thai people, dip SEAFOODS with that sauce, then we try just eating another protein/meat with the sauce also, and it is so delicious! "Nam-jim" means dipping sauce. And we put adjectives after the noun in Thai, so seafood is actually placed after the word nam jim. So it's exactly "seafood dipping sauce"

Mookata restaurants in Thailand are mostly all you can eat. It would cost you like 8-20 US dollars for a person and you get almost every ingredients in the clip. And what make a good Mookata are the sauces.

Too much lime juice for the seafood sauce it should be a paste like texture so that it would coat any food dip in well. Also, you should put the chili into the mortar and pestle as well making the taste of the chili more emphasize and sharper, my dad make it that way and the taste is awesome. I'm Thai by the way ^^
