How to Prepare and Cook Kale

Hello there everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that this is an experimental video. I purchsed some Kale and I never cooked or eaten Kale before so I decided to do a video on it. I could of added some extra vegetables to it but I decided to keep it as is, a video on Kale only. A future video on this will have several different things in it. This video is just a start. Hope you all understand. Thanks!

D. Hall My mother, used to cook collard greens, towards the end of cooking, she would add small tender baby okra, on top of the collards. I miss her, and her cooking, sometimes a person just want their mother.

I just came on here to say I'm so glad your kale looks exactly like mine when cooked. Mine goes a dull and slightly brown colour when cooked, which always bothered me when so many of the videos seem to show bright green cooked kale. Amen for real videos 🙏 I can relate to Btw. the stems.. I cut them off & freeze. Then add to soup maker on smooth soup setting, it is good fibre which really helps that full feeling when cooking on a budget

@@CharlieTheCookAndrews It was fantastic, even my husband liked it (after he turned up his nose to the thought of eating kale lol). After seeing how much kale you used, I knew I didn't have enough, since the plants a relatively young, so some green cabbage leaves from the garden was added to bulk it up, and wild garlic chives we have growing all over. No additional salt was added since the creole powder and bacon are salty enough. Next time I'll add mushrooms. Also, I will try substituting it for spinach the next time I make Palak Murgh/Chicken Saag. Thanks again!

Looks good !!! I will make this. Also I like your red cutting board & colander. I love the way you cut the stalks out. LOL You could dehydrate the stalks & make super green powder out of it.
