Excellent video. I travel light, Carry-On only, so I always use the hotel's towels for a headrest and to lay on and sometimes use their pillows (be certain to return everything to your room afterward, unless you're a nincompoop). You will be laying on the floor a lot, between the rows or you may be able to lay down along a wall (those spots are quickly taken). You might want wired speakers for the walking meditation as Blue Tooth might not work or have interference, but I’m not positive on that as I’ve seen plenty of the Apple ear buds. Definitely dress comfortably, and in layers, the arena will intentionally be cold so you don't fall asleep. I was always putting my coat over me while laying down, and taking it off at other times. Wear sneakers for comfort and/or walking on a beach. There's also lots of time to dance during breaks, and who knows, you may like to jump for joy! Be sure to have a pad and pen for notes, or to get your new found friend's contact info. Expect early starts, could be 4am, 6am. You may leave the room during a meditation if nature calls, but you may not re-enter until it's over --- just hang out by the locked doors when you come back from the restroom. Surrender to the unknown. Have the time of your life! The Volunteers and Staff are exceptional, and you will fall in love with Dr Joe.

Great tips! Also, a large percentage of people get COVID at these events. So if you’re immunocompromised, take precautions. ❤️

I was at San Diego and actually experienced covid the day following, as I stayed over an extra night. I haven't talked to a lot of people about covid, yet I would venture to say that some got it for certain but not a lot. Be aware that there will easily be 1,500 people there or more, that you can wear a mask or not, and there usually is seating set aside for those who want to wear a mask throughout the event. Also, read the registration material thoroughly, and do not expect any assistance whatsoever from the volunteers or the staff in this regard, you may well be entirely on your own for whatever your needs may be (read what you signed as it's quite clear that you are in charge of you). From personal experience, Ivermectin works!

Hey thanks for the great video!👊🏻 One question though: how strict are they (during the retreat) not letting you in the room once you had to go to the toilet?🤔😩
@knowthyselfrevolution23882 жыл бұрын
They are extremely strict about it, but there are enough breaks given, we can even go use the restroom while Dr. Joe is speaking during his lectures, we just get up and walk to the restroom but before the meditation we are all there early so for a 4:00am meditation we are there by 3:30am and use the restroom and then have a 4 hour 45 minute meditation, Dr. Joe takes us into this being nobody, nothing, nowhere, no time so we really don't feel the bodily elimination needs also hunger, there are times that I skipped what was offered at the breaks because I don't do corn, gluten, dairy, eggs and they had some corn fried tortillas so I skipped it. We are well fed so eat well for breakfast and lunch. There is lots and lots of food and loads of unconditonal love and joy to bask in. Enjoy your retreat.
@saltyseven2 жыл бұрын
They are pretty strict. my husband was a few minutes late one time and they had the meditation playing on the speakers outside the ballroom. he overcame himself and just laid down on a sofa outside the ballroom to meditate. So if you don’t make it in the room, you’re don't totally miss out.

At the Dallas event, it was the first time he used that venue and room service could not keep up. It took several hours for people to get their food. The next night though, they upped their staff and invited a pop up health food tent to set up near the convention center. They are so awesome at making sure we are all happy!!

@@saltyseven I bet there is!! I want to go to Cancun sooooooo badly. I am seriously thinking about signing up and just winging it. I need to manifest the funds. Maybe I should try for that right now. I just feel like I am supposed to be there. I tried to go to Nashville, but it is sold out, which is too bad as that is where I am from (but on the left coast now.) I think I am going to go look at airline tix right now. I dont know why, I just feel like I need to be there.

Did you manage to eat anything while you were there? I hope so. I’m Italian and like to eat. When I’m hungry for a long time I go nuts. If I go to an event I should bring snacks to eat in class if they go to long.
@saltyseven2 жыл бұрын
The first few days I was always hungry, but I guess it was just a habit. I always have to eat right when I get up. I followed his schedule, and now I don’t have to eat first thing in the morning. He said that at one event. Meditation can give you energy just like food. If you meditate a lot, you don’t need as much food to fuel your body. I did forget to mention, they have 2 snack times during the day. Feel free to bring snacks, but I don’t think you’ll need them.

The ballroom temps are ridiculously cold at times. Prepare. There’s plenty of food. Don’t wear a jumpsuit because you drink a lot of water and lines to the bathroom are long. You won’t get a lot of sleep…which is perfect. You will get more out of it if you’re drowsy. Our pineal gland meditation was 4.5 hours. Things get pretty wild and after this experience you will continue to process. Remember that the energy moving needs cooperation from you …so relax.
