I used the review question today in a final interview and the lady’s eyes went HUGE and she was quiet for a few moments before she said “that’s a GREAT question, wow” before she answered. I find out if I got it next week, but at the very least, I knocked her on her butt with that question.

If you got to the final interview then you are basically being assessed on personality and being introduced to other decision makers.. relax and be yourself.

Try to remember the other one, too. After all, that will help you know what success will look like at the time of your review (just in case they forget).

Hi Jeff - thanks re the what to ask them...question for you - I am going for a five day multi site/city interview for a job (one of to finalists). All day long -except when travelling on the planes, I will be with people from the organization. Aside from taking mental breaks (bathroom) how can I stay emotionally intelligent from 09:00 - 21:00 every day during interviews, lunches, dinners (I am not used to being watched for so many days, my history = max of 2 day interviews)?

The interview went great. I feel like I'm playing cat-mouse with the company. During the first interview, the interviewer told me there would only be ONE interview. Then I got an email regarding a second interviewer. She got on the phone and admitted she was confused by the interview. At the end of the interview yesterday, she said there is going to be a third interview. Is this normal? I am very confused why they adding more interviews when there was originally one.

It happens and it indicates they don't have their act together. Ask them what you outlined to me (non-defensive. Non judgemental tone of voice). "At my first interview, I was told there would only be one interview. Now I am being scheduled for my third. How come?" You will learn something from the answer.

Good Morning Jeff- Your video content is right-on! Thank you so much! Wondering your thoughts...I went in for 2 interviews- met with 3 upper management, 1st being the COO, who near the end of the interview said "I really really like you" and moved me on to meet my perspective manager. I just received a call from HH...I'm still in the running : ).....but COO is concerned with my outside business activity...and is checking with their compliance dept... I assured HH it's not an issue to put that on hold for full time employment.....also the COO mentioned if it was going to be an issue...he had another lead for me with another company! How do you see this playing out. Man, I'm sitting on pin and needles!! Thank so much in advance!

Offer to speak with compliance and ask him to set up a call with them. Compliance's job is to protect the company, not look out for you.Your assurances don't mean anything to compliance. Answer all of their questions and talk to them directly. You have nothing to hide. AND if it is a compliance problem, you've learned something about how they think. Most importantly, the COO will trust you immensely with the offer to speak directly with them.

+Roger Herrera it depends on who the third interview was with. If it was with an overall manager, a Director, a senior VP, it indicates you are a finalist but not that it is locked up

Jeff Altman yeah. When I went into the room I saw 2 new guys that I've never seen before. I would be working at a plant and mainly every guy who asked me questions were in working jumpsuits. Except those 2 new men. They were in casual everyday clothes. My friend who referenced me to the company said I was competing with one other candidate. Honestly I don't know what to make of this and it is kinda vague with the info I have :/
