I have lived in Montana for over 40 years they can tell you that snow chains are a must but the important part is knowing how to put them on correctly

I wanted to ask, kinda weird question does Billings have a lot of trees and a real tree kinda city?

We have trees but I wouldn’t categorize it as a real tree kind of city. We have some beautiful older neighborhoods with old growth and pine trees along the Rimrocks but compared to where I grew up on the east coast or what I’ve seen of the PNW I would say less trees

was gonna ask how is driving within billings from westend to billings clinic area? rimrock road. i have zero experience driving in snow.

Most of the roads are really similar around here. Main streets plowed fairly well. Residential is hit and miss but most just packed down from drivers. Rimrock is a main road and will be plowed. Take it slow, give yourself a few extra minutes and you should be fine!
