Great video! It was really nice to see that there are people like Samuel who mentioned that importance of food and not just learning methods. Because if you eat junk food during your exam preparation phase, you feel tired and unmotivated and you won't be able to build up body like Arnold ;)

Here is a small recap! But make sure you watch the full video for a better understanding. #1 Create a study plan. Make sure that you have a "buffer day" as long as a revision day. #2 Study using active recall and spaced repetition. #3 Study in groups (with people on the same "level" as you). #4 Eat healthily. A balanced diet of nutritious food will help you work better. #5 Sleep enough. If anything you should be sleeping more during exam season, rather than less. #6 Workout. Even if it is for a few minutes, daily exercise will help you focus more and avoid burnouts.

Hello Samuel, thanks for your great video! I wonder how you think of studying at night and sleep for ~7 hours in the morning :)

Well, this just means you live in a different time zone :) as long as you have a regular sleep schedule and get enough sleep, it should be fine :)

So when you had 10 days to learn a topic, when did you start doing Anki/spaced repetition? Day 2? Did the proportion dedicated to it increase with the number of days? Also, how much coffein did you consume? :D

Great video! How strict are you with alcohol consumption? Did you setup any rules for yourself?
@SamuelBoschMIT
@SamuelBoschMIT Жыл бұрын
Not really strict rules, but I try not to drink too much as it is unhealthy. Maybe 1-2 drinks per week at most

Hey Samuel, can you make a video on the courses you took in your undergrad, or briefly mention it as part of a video that covers a broader topic? I am currently a first-year computer science major with a strong interest in physics. I learned about quantitative finance recently (reading nassim taleb), and want to try it out. What kind of courses would you suggest for quant trading from a stem perspective?

Hi! What would you suggest for your first year bachelors students? I want to have a strong foundation and a strong study plan that I can use for the rest of my academic life and career, but I'm overall confused with how university works
@SamuelBoschMIT
@SamuelBoschMIT Жыл бұрын
I'd say try to do a good job with the basic courses. But don't overload more courses than you need. Rather, focus on getting hands-on experience thorough internships and research opportunities :)

Hard for me to tell without knowing you. If you're more interested in EE, then go for it. If you're indifferent, then maybe CE might be a better way to go
