How to prepare organic dishwashing liquid at home?

• The dish washing liquids that we buy from store contains lot of harmful chemicals.
• You can see all the ingredients printed on the label
○ The two most dangerous chemicals used in commercial dish washing liquids are:
§ Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)
§ Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) -
○ These chemicals are mainly used for foaming
○ Even though we wash the utensils thoroughly, sometimes the residues of these chemicals may stick to the surface of the utensils
§ When we use those utensils for cooking, these chemicals will get into our body without our knowledge
○ Consuming these harmful chemicals are obviously not good for our health
○ In many families, I have seen people using costly organic dish washing liquids only for washing kids stuffs like feeding bottle, sippy cups etc. the reason is they cannot afford it for the whole family
• the Ingredients required are:
○ baking soda
○ white vinegar
○ water
○ For mixing, we can take a bowl
• You can get the baking soda and white vinegar in pretty much all the grocery stores
• Cost wise these 2 items are very cheap. You can buy 2 pounds of baking soda for less than 2 dollars
• 3 litters of White vinegar costs around 2 dollars.
The white vinegar and baking soda are completely organic and there is no harm in consuming them.
The baking soda is good for removing oily substances from the utensils.
Vinegar is antibacterial and so, it will kill the germs present in the utensils.

Padmanaban T- Foam does not come when you use this organic dishwashing liquid. But the baking soda along with the vinegar is very effective in cleaning the utensils.

I also used for stubborn stains and for cleaning bathrooms latrine and kitchen. But for cleaning copper water bottles and flasks is it advisable even after rinsing several times and for cleaning with hot and cold water .will any chemical reaction will take place while cleaning copper water and flasks with cooking baking soda and white vinegar 💎will it affect health condition relating to stomach, kindly enlighten .needed for an investigation to rule out baking soda for IBS and ibd Crohn's disease Next is it advisable for cleaning over tanks and sumps. @Uma Dev Hi Mam, Yes you can use this liquid to clean copper utensils ..And regarding the chemical reaction-Copper reacts with any thing which is acidic and can cause corrosion..It is not advisable to drink or store acidic substances in copper vessel.Vinegar is acidic in nature,but for washing it's good to use.Infact it can easily remove the green patina in copper.You can relate why our ancestors used lemon to clean copper.Baking soda doesn't cause any harm.Even if there are residues after cleaning the utensils,both Baking soda and vinegar will not cause any harm to our body since they are consumable chemicals and not like the extremely toxic chemicals present in branded dish washing liquids..You can use this as a substitute for bleach for cleaning tanks as well, It will clean really well.. Hope this helps..

Hi Mam.. I used this dishwash liquid today. I faced 2 problems. 1)Baking soda is not dissolving and deposits in the bottom.. Is that k? 2)After cleaning the vessels and become dry, silver vessels are not shiny instead the liquid is spreaded in the vessels like small circles. Is that normal or need to do something Mam? raziya sultana That's perfectly normal... Just shake the bottle before using the liquid...In case of pure silver utensils clean by pressing your brush little hard and wash it immediately and thoroughly...most importantly don't stack lot of vessels after applying this liquid for washing together..wash 1 or 2 vessels immediately..
