When I lack motivation, I ask myself "what am I excited to do?". I've found, I burnout when I get hyper focused on doing what I'm not really interested in doing. Usually, I start out excited, and then seemingly lose interest... Often times, going on a tangent for a day, or however long is necessary until I get excited to do the original task again works out best. And if I lost interest overall, then it just means it's time to place my focus elsewhere! The best q I ask myself is: "what am i excited to do?" Sometimes, the answer is "nothing". Then, i do nothing until i get excited to do something ;)

I think I needed this video right now. I too suffer from a want for perfection and you are 100% correct in saying, it will get done. Trust your team. Take some time to breath and smell the roses (or eat a donut), otherwise life will pass you by. Thanks for this video.

The burnout is real, even in doing the kind of work that you want to do. Thanks for sharing.

I wonder how people cope with stress. I saw plenty of my professors smoking like crazy and well that will ruin their health. Myself had had issues with alcohol before, and when I began to drink quite a lot because of stress in architecture I school again I left (temporaily?) because that's just too much of a price to pay for me...
