I would think burnout would be common in most any workplace. I'm fortunate that at my job I earn PTO which can be collected up to 240 hours. This allows me to take a four or five day staycation perhaps every other month and not loose pay. At previous jobs, without PTO, I just called in sick, which really, wasn't entirely a lie.

I've been feeling burnt out for the past 6 months from work. The stress keeps piling on until one day, I went into a mental breakdown. My body triggered some safety mechanism and all my stress melted away, however, at the same time I found it super hard to think straight. That's when I realized if I didn't stop it's going to lead to a long time to recover. If you're in that state or nearing the state because of constant stress, I recommend taking proper breaks or rest period. No job or school is worth destroying your mental or physical well being. Everything seems so large at that time but later on you realized its not so big at all. I'm quitting my job and going backpacking for awhile. I have enough funds to last me well over a couple months so I'll be taking some time to recuperate. If you don't have that opportunity, I recommend following the video. Yet, if its a job, try finding another one. It's not worth destroying your health and well-being over a job. There's plenty out there. If you're in school, follow what the video talks about. Also, maybe think about doing a backpacking trip. You can go on a low budget trip and still experience the world. Don't shirk your responsibility yet make sure it's not the pressure from society, friends, parents or family forcing you into staying at a position you don't want to be. Burnout is a sign that our body tells us there's something wrong. Something's not right. It's good because then we notice it to start changing our circumstances, routines and lifestyle. You are important and are full of dignity and self-worth. Jesus loves you. You are so important to Him you are worth dying for so that you can know God and be forgiven. Do not give up on yourself. God did not give up on you. You are of great value and worth to Him. Don't give up. If you can't do it, trust in Him. He will give you the strength to keep going each and every day. You are never alone. He is faithful always :) Jesus loves you!

I felt like my former employer kept piling on the work and did not care. Also, I had a supervisor position so that meant that if I couldn't find anyone to cover, I had to. I worked a lot of double shifts and midnight shifts. I ended up being terminated for poor work performance. Well, when you're "burning the candle at both ends" so to speak, you're not going to be at your best. It's whatever though; I gave a little over 6 years to that job. Maybe they should look at the workload they put on their employees. Burn out is not just a "rich people problem." It can effect anyone.

It’s a shameful thing for me to admit I’m still recovering from burnout. When Covid first started my job moved us to remote and became we were told to isolate I took on taking care of my 3 year old as well. I feel like no one understands how much of a toll it took on me. From being scared of my family getting Covid and working while taking care of my son and being isolated on top of it just really took a toll on me.

I can relate to burnout because I have experienced it from time-to-time for the past five years. I struggle taking time to rest for myself and this has been the main cause of why I feel burned out often. Last year, I started to understand why it's important to rest, but I find it hard putting in the action up to this day. However, I try to think of each day as a new opportunity to attempt giving rest another try and hope I'm able to do so so that I don't get into another burnout again. Thank you for this insightful video!

I've experienced feelings of depersonalization for some time now and I'm pretty sure it's a symptom of burnout(someone reply to me if I'm wrong) But the tip of completing the stress cycle has helped me reduce the stress a lot because at first, it felt overwhelming for me to deal with but I started doing progressive muscle relaxation and meditation for the emotional release and it really helped a lot and I'm glad you guys are bringing this to attention because burnout is super underrated and not fully recognized despite how common it is.

I rarely leave any comments on videos before but I just want to say thank you, I've been feeling desperate and just tired of everything. I lost my passion a long time ago, I used to come up with a lot of creative things and even though most of them didn't work I was proud of the process and the dedication I poured into it. Nowadays, I'm not sure of the things I want to do anymore and would just waste my time doing unproductive things that never really helped me of who I want to be. I'm tired but I want to be happy, I hope I can take things slow and work myself back up so I can enjoy my life again.

I work out every day and sleep my good 8 hours and I try to keep myself light headed listening to music and enjoying as much as I can. However this dark cloud is always following me and as soon as I sit down in my computer to work my body and mind are just not cooperating. I feel there is no hope for me. I’ve tried meditating, manifesting, praying, but just nothing seems to make me feel unstuck. I just want to love my job again

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling stuck and unhappy in your current job. It can be challenging when we're in a situation that doesn't bring us joy or fulfillment. Take some time to reflect on what truly makes you happy and fulfilled. Consider the aspects of your job that you enjoy and try to focus on those. Building positive relationships with your coworkers can make a significant difference in how you feel about your job. Take the time to connect with your colleagues, engage in conversations, and find common interests. If you've tried various strategies and still find no joy in your current job, it might be worth exploring other career options. Hope this help

I feel sad lately because I used to be able to do my work in school but ever since I took a one week break I got super lazy and had lack of motivation.I started to stop submitting assignments and the end of the marking period is closer. I know I failed this marking period because I didn’t do any work. My mom will be disappointed and mad at me. And when I start trying to do homework i start tearing up cause I want to cry. And I absolutely don’t believe in myself I know this is long but I just wanted to rant this out :( I know this is unrelated but today in math class I usually don’t do my homework because I’m lazy :,( and the teacher moved my seat to the back of the classroom because a girls mother wanted her daughter to be seated in the front. and I was ok with it but then he continued and said that the seat was too good for me and I don’t deserve it not in a rude way but I just wish he’d told me to just sit in the back even if it’s true :,(

One thing to keep in mind is that focusing or working for extended periods of time is a skill that needs to be practiced. just like training a muscle or any other skill. It needs to develop incrementally over an extended period of time (basically not in one day). The only other way around this is an extreme intervention or extreme will power.

I got a full time job late last year, and work 40 hours, and am AT work for 45 hours a week, as I get an hour long lunch. I'm not a morning person, and need to wake up at 7 am to make it to work at 8 am. I had to get myself on a real sleep schedule, as my last job I worked 3 days a week, and didn't have to be there until 10am, and lived a mile away. So, I quickly had to adjust to a reasonable schedule. I'm in bed by 10pm, and wake up at 7am. I got to work, I come home and shower, then eat, and from about 7-10 I have 'me' time, in whatever form that takes. I also tend to call out one day a month, and have 2 days planned(and approved) off in March, just to give me a long weekend to unwind and reset. And on days where I'm really feeling out of it, I'll take a nap on my lunch. I'll eat, and the time I have left after, usually 45-30 minutes, I'll go to my car and nap in the back seat. I did that everyday for the first 2 months of the job. Now it's just an occasional thing. I am certainly not cut out fir a full time job, but I've gotta do what I've gotta do. Things could be worse. I like my job, but that doesn't mean I like working 40 hours a week. So I definitely take the extra steps I need to in order to avoid that burnout.

The realization just hit me quite recently that while I have this and that to do and fix and manage, I should instead start by focusing on my sleep. It's been awfully bad for a longer time now, and (surprise, surprise) it has finally started to affect me. This also for a while now. I'm lucky that I'm at a point in life at the moment that I can turn my somewhat full attention to this. The rest of the "list" is obviously important too. However, I've learnt that concentrating on a few matters at the time, can provide better results, too. In the past I've done that mistake of trying to fix and avoid stress and so on a multiple level. In turn, that became something that ate itself and caused more harm. So keeping this in mind, I really like the last point that is mentioned in the video, self-love.

I can't avoid any of my stressors and I can't take time from any of the stresses either. I'm slammed between 7 hours of school on the weekdays and 7 hours of a closing shift at a s***** pizza joint, and eight more hours of unconscious time that I don't get to enjoy while awake. All in all I maybe get 2 hours a day to myself if I'm lucky, minus commute times from school and work. My college class is almost done in May but until that time I'm stuck. All that can be done is just keep going. I don't have enough time to recharge from my stressors, and I also can't take time off from my stressors or everything will come falling apart. It's rough out here people, I hope you all get to where you want to go and do the things that you want to do and get to enjoy the time that you deserve. Stay strong everybody.

Though I just love this channel and I really do think that many videos have helped me out, I think even people who do not go through stuff like burnouts and depressions will make interpretations or start thinking that way...depression, mood swings and things as such have really become more of a trend these days...

I've been feeling burnt out but that I shouldn't be burnt out since I'm only 19. But college 4 days a week and work the other 3 days. I'm losing my mind. And I can't talk to anyone about it.

When I burned out I just resigned because I didn’t feel like I was worth anything and I assumed nobody would believe me but think poorly of me instead. I have a disability but my boss didn’t believe me when I told him. I worked every day, one time I even worked 72 hours straight. Been at the bottom and unemployed for two years now

I had a huge mental breakdown last year while I was pregnant from being to stressed and burnt out. Now I'm constantly feeling burnt out and like I can't get anything right or get anything done.. it's a task on a task with my baby by my side. I'm so tired and been so rude to those around me even if I don't mean it..I just say what I think without..well thinking twice.. I'm annoyed that no one realized I am not so happy and energetic as always. They literally only see the bad.

Wow, this describes my thought process to a tee. I have been going to school for 4 semesters straight, (spring, summer, fall, spring) and I almost earned my associate's but I feel like I am not able to learn anything and feel anhedonic. I hope this doesn't affect my path to my Bachelor's degree

Yess!!! I knew it!! Ty Pschy2Go, I was currently enrolled to a new school with a different culture and it's so hard to socialize with different types of people with different humor and I realize I was suffering a social burn out and just need that oxytocin release but can't get it in my new school. I'll try to do some excercise at home or just stop using KZbin so much and put a timer on it😭😭maybe like just for 4 hrs a day.❤️❤️💯💯🥰and putting my health first💖💖and self-awareness

I'm a 16 year old artist that is able to graduate my junior year, has scholarships available, and a great knack for art but honestly..I'm burn out on everything..I can't even enjoy art anymore..and honestly nothing has worked, breaks, trying something new, trying therapy..I can drawn really well still but it doesn't make me happy, my favorite game to stream has gotten so toxic and unbalanced that I can't enjoy it anymore, and school is becoming more of a nuisance because I can't just graduate now, and my parents just think I'm happy and that I can't be stressed out because I'm only 16, can't get a job because most turn me down because I have Aspergers, and school is becoming more of a dangerous environment to even look at, I love my life but it just feels like I'm done with it, not su¡cidal or anything it's just, I wanna just hang out with friends all the time and be free

1. the thing is it is schoolwork itself though, I do that because I hate actually doing the work. For some reason I also end up with better ideas sometimes on like writing exercises when I work last minute. 3 (2:57) no, I hated it then and I dont really feel like going to bed now because the only thing that awaits me the next day is more school. But yes, I probably should... 4:48 dancing? working out? come on now, do I really have to do that? Also I dont have a pet 5:20 sure....

the fact that i use sleep as an escape from reality, that is the guilt of being unproductive for a significant time of my life already, is stressing me these days. also, not in the position to explain burnout to any of my closed ones. can't even explain the cause behind the downfall of my grades, to the ones who are eagerly waiting for me to bounce back. but nobody explains how? :( i want to get back to my past self as soon as possible. ahhh...this is so hard!!

To be honest, I really like your channel because it gives me more info to think about my behaviour, reason about anything like why i am feeling demotivated and stressed out. But the best part about all of your videos is YOUR VOICE. Its like a therapy on its own way. Doesnt matter how much stress I have , hearing your voice give me a feeling of being comfortable and calmness. Thanks a lot

I know that this and other videos focus a lot on Work burnout, but I want to say I believe you can experience social burnout too, perhaps even romantic burnout, especially as an introvert. Currently, I feel like I'm experiencing something between the two. I'm a single male in his 30s now, and it is STRESSING ME THE FFFF OUT that I am single again, and what with casual dating in the state it's in, currently in 2022. I am having trouble falling asleep, can't focus on work, and find my every waking moment is filled with thoughts of "well if I go out and do this or that, maybe I'll meet \*her!\*" or "If I was at this place minding my own business, what would I do if \*she\* walked up to me and started talking?!". I fully realize that these thoughts are just ok - they aren't the healthiest, and they aren't the worst thoughts one could have. But the number/frequency of them that I have, of all different kinds of scenarios... it's just overwhelming. And constant. And honestly annoying. I've gotten to the point where I'm not putting myself out there because I KNOW I'm only doing it to try and do it to find \*her\*. Or someone who I can bother about my needs as a social being. Well, introverted social being, but I still want to be listened to, talked to. I still want to be valued. So I clicked on this video after several others because I think I'm honing in on this being a burnout problem. I'm burned out over looking for companionship, of hoping to find the *one*, of constantly doubting my every move. I am by no means over this and I have a lot of self work (and self-appreciation) left to do, but this video did make me realize, right at the start, that I need to figure out exactly what is stressing me out, why and how it is doing that, and what I can do to try and resolve it or deal with it. I'm not fully there at the end of that journey yet, but I've started down a path that doesn't look so thick with the weeds of depression or despair. I hope this comment helps someone else find it, and I hope this video finds more people and helps them too. Thanks for reading

I am, or I was really active, I used to do exercise and dance, because I was happy and passionate about it, but now it just feels like a responsability and, i just look for another activities to pop out just so I don't have to do exercise, I think that I might not need to write this but it feels better to talk about it
