Hi mate, I'm going to do some wet blasting soon and in order to stop flash rusting I'm looking at purchasing some Holdtight 102. I take it that you can paint straight over the 102 once it dries?

Nice video man! Would you consider the surface after using that stuff ready for paint or a tank coating once it dries? Or would you still do some sort of acetone wash.

They state "typically not". For tank sealing I would do a acetone wash real quick.

I have read that a Borax solution is also a good solution for preventing flash rust but have not been able to determine the mix ratio nor have I had time to experiment with it.

If you ever do a re-edit of this video it might be better to just dip the part halfway in the solution

Do any of the fuel additives prevent tank rust for older 4 stroke bikes?

Keep the fuel fresh and tank full.

Water (70-80%), Hydroxyethyl (20-30%), Propanediol (1-2%), Diethylenimide Oxide (1-2%), Nitrilotriethanol Acetate (1-2%)
