May god bless us 😇 Anyhow my case went like this 😊 I noticed a soar bump on my left side bum, 2 months ago. It wasn’t so painful but went straight to hospital. Receptionist directed me towards general surgeon. I was told about fistula and given some antibiotics. Painless bump disappeared and reappeared several times in a month duration so went for ultrasound where a tract was seen and did MRI which showed a thicker, 3rd grade track. Then I was told to go for fistulectomy and anal advanced flap repair according to my diagnosis. Took bed rest for almost 2 weeks . Something kept oozing after surgery. Surgery was done with spinal anesthesia and sleep sedation I believe. Only downside was some fear I had to undergo after surgery as it’s my first surgery in life. Holes were kept opened to dry naturally. It’s healing but seems like it will take many more weeks to heal completely. I resumed work last week & the Gauze underwear from Amazon saved my life😂 maybe you can try as well

I had 4 times rectal abscess surgery. First one 1993, Second one Oct 2022, Third on May 2023 and got infection due to infection/pus was not cleared out perfectly afterward started drainage took antibiotic Ciprofloxacin 500mg and Metronidazole two rounds afterwards about 4 months continue drainage and pain finally after 4 months cured - stop drainage and pain - back to normal life, control foods intake no egg and chicken. But Fourth one back in March 2024 this time Surgeon Foothill Hospital, Alberta, Canada cleared out all infection perfectly my understanding only little pain outside anus surgery area made a hole to get into abscess no other pus related pain I believe - all of them required Incision and Drainage to remove infection/ pus. I do not know why abscess recurrence- it could be GI infection, IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) or Fistula tract - I have bowel movement 2-4 times per day extreme case no constipation since child hood, now I am 60 age. This time they recommend to put Seton but in not permanent solution this is time being pus drainage system. Please recommend what is the permanent solution.

It is important to know the exact extent of fistula by MRI and a clinical examination of the fistula to for proper medical adwise. Usually soaking the affected area in warm water (hot- sitz bath ) and daily dressing helps in healing of wound over a period of 3-6 weeks.

Same mujhe b hua Mujhe fistula hai lekin jab operation k liye gaya to ascess ka karana pada operation.. 3..4 din hua hai... I m in lot of pain. Aur mujhe bole abi 3..4 mahine baad fir fistula operation karna padega

After having fistula surgery , doctor there was a scar over the healed wound of fistula. Why it is happening and whether it is the reoccurring but after having sitz bath for 3 day it became normal.can I plz tell doctor?
