How to Price Paver Maintenance Projects

Today we talk about pricing paver lift and re-lay projects. I breakdown a quote into three tiers. The first is a basic lift and re-lay where we will clean and remove the pavers, remove and dispose of the bedding layer, re-screed and lay the pavers, install the jointing compound and edge restraint, and clean up the final project. The next tier we will include the replacement of the base material and attach our warranty on the project at a cost increase. The final tier is just a little bit more costly than the second tier but includes the replacement of the pavers which gives the client a brand new project.
These tiers help the client see what it would cost them to put a band-aid on their project to fix what the problem was, what it would cost to fix the problem by replacing the base and re-using the pavers, and what an entirely new project would cost at a slightly more costly tier than the second.
