Since my company failed to train me on any of this stuff, bless you sir. You're going to save me hours.

It's probably an old autocad term brought over, in Inventor if you ever look in the model tree of the .idw it says Sheet:1, I felt the same way when you showed how to do the Adjust Appearance button to rotate and scale, learning something new always feels great!

I have a question on how to make a core for a casting drawing. Can you help?
@19charger745 жыл бұрын
So i followed this tutorial and all was great until you have to print multi-sheet drawings. Because the plot manager brings in the individual sheets under the same file name in the list, whenever it prints the PDF to the desired folder, the 2nd Sheet (or last sheet) will override the sheet 1 pdf because it sees it as the same . I have looked around different options in Vault, Plot Manager Etc and cant seem to find a away around it. Im not sure if the destination folder can have a setting/permission set to it so it doesnt override the previous files. You would have seen the issue in this tutorial if you hadnt excluded the 1st sheet in your example. Let me know if you have any ideas on how to fix this.

Hey TFI, I can't find this setting anywhere. When making constraints on sketches, it attempts to constrain to geometry of my part that's not projected. How can I disable this?

how do I do this without vault?

It is not feasible to use Inventor without Vault. Much appreciated.

Its a tough sell to a single user/contractor/student, but yea in a design office it's an absolute must!

nice tip on the PDF printer settings. buggered if i know why I've never looked for that before.

Ta. I figured there's no way someone can be expected to sit and press OK to every drawing for the plot location, so off I went to look for something. Not sure if every print driver will have that option but the Adsk DWF writer also has it, handy.

Hello Sir, nice video as usual. It is possible to install Autodesk Vault on a Linux server, I heard it has to be a Windows Server, that's why I ask you to verify. Thanks Sir
@Neil3D7 жыл бұрын
Thank you Lars. It's not supported on Linux, however I don't know enough about Linux to know if it'll still install or not. Vault needs an instance of SQL along with communications over IIS, I have a feeling it'll probably fail on the pre-checks if you try installing on a Linux server
