I have that same printer. And I have done it too. I also have used thicker paper (photo paper usually) on the front and back page. Takes a bit of thought but if you choose the front and back pages and print them by choosing the range of those pages then you can print those pages separately for a photo cover And one that looks better. Also, I recommend using a ruler (I have a tsquare tool I used form my tool kit) and an exacto/hobby knife when cutting to make really nice cuts. Lastly, if you want the page turningto beeven easier use two Bindings clips (4 holes) but one at the top and one at the bottom to make the book feel more secure when you read it. Last trick that will cost you about 25c consider a clear plastic cover like the ones you use in a report sheet. If you use the book a lot this will keep your hand grease off the pages and make it last a lot longer.

PDFs As far as I have seen have a format already on them but when you print you can over ride that more often then not. If so it will print it in the format you choose. That was the part she showed at the beginning.

I know this video is old but I'm just having trouble organizing my book pages while printing in duplex. For example my first page comes out with pages 1 and 2 on the front and pages 3 and 4 on the back. If I were to cut the pages and bind it into a book it would be page 3 right after you turn page 1. I know I don't make the perfect sense but I still have not found any videos that explain how to organize your pages before printing.

No I don’t think so.

yes you can print both sides, while printing select print only odd numbers, then flip the pages back to the printer and now print even number pages.. you will print both side by this method, i have done it myself ( you just need to figure out the proper page when putting it back in page tray). hope it helps

Is it on the quiet setting? Sometimes that would happen and I would go through and just reset all the settings and it would be faster again. There is a quiet printing setting that I think slows it down.

My computer has a mind of it's own and does the craziest thing ever when I'm printing double sided pages the front facing pages are all good but the back pages are all upside down and to be extra evil my computer will add blank pages in and the way it does it is beyond belief... Mind you it's still on double sided... it prints the front and leaves the back blank and then leaves the front blank and still flip the back page lol.... I tried so many times to fix this and just gave up....

If you want to print a booklet in signatures you can download a free app called pdfbooklet app.Its realy simple to use and you can print books in signatures but in that case you will have to use different binding technique like kettlebook stitching

This is not the right way to bind a book. Please find videos in youtube doing it the right way. You can use a hole puncher, but instead of using a fastener -- stitch it with a nylon thread and put glue on the side to hold the paper in place..
