The calendar time could have been explained better. Otherwise, great video! · Step-by-step guide on incision, division, sprouting, and multiplication of suckers with practical, video demonstration in the field for better understanding. · Cut banana near ground level. · Identify location of apical bud. · Use 4 vertical, radial incisions centered on apical bud to: - Ablate apical bud. - Create 8 independent zones in the shoot where apical dominance will generate at least 1 dominant bud (which will grow to produce a sucker). · Cover with sawdust. · Expect ~ 8 suckers in 21-30 days. · Replant suckers. · Repeat process. · After 3 eightfold expansions, you should have ~512 suckers.

Bro do you know that .the stems you throw away are made into sanitry pads and tea bags. In Europe ? We need more research into banana and plantain and other crops. A scientist has developed a means to make yarns from pineapple plant to weave material for the trainers we wear. Well done bro. Plantain is profitable like palm tree & its fruits. So we need more research.

@smartagroinnovations1523 Жыл бұрын
My method of sucker multiplication is in two steps.The first is pre- nursery , which involves the peeling of the entire pseudostem & making of incisions. After germination, the seedlings are then separated and planted at the post - nursery for further multiplication for more numbers. My method does not involve the use of grow/poly-bags
