no with that scanner you have is just to program blank modules it doesn't have many keys functions

I think i heard somewhere that it only allows two keys in the system only if its a fully smart prox key,semi-smart you don't have to erase a key first,think that's correct? :-)

You should not be disconnecting and reconnecting the way you doing it. You might corrupt the data 😳. You should have 2 usb cables and have them connected all the time and turn bluetooth off and connect vci via cable. But regardless it's a really good video thank you for putting it up.

I had to change the bus computer out with a used one and the evidently I’m getting a U0001 Code on a 2008 mini Cooper base S model. I changed the alternator, the starter, the bus computer and the fuse box and the crankshaft sensor because of water rising damage The car turns over, but will not start up I see the RPMs go up when I’m starting it and check engine light so I know the computer is talking But I think the fob is not talking to the bus What can I do? Do I buy one of these computers? Can I send the bus terminal and the fobs to you? What would that run if you do that service? if I buy the computer? I gotta get a subscription. I don’t really work on cars for living. This is just one of our cars that got flood damaged. Appreciate any help These hurricanes have us upside down in repairs 😢

great video .I just did one and everything went through smooth one thing I could say is make sure you have both cables hooked up before you start trying to program the keys and I did not turn off no Bluetooth or nothing all I did is hooked the two cables up and did everything and it went right next time I'm going to make a video of it.

yea by usb the connection is much faster honestly this tool is amazing for anyone doing automotive business I know is pricey but so worth it. thanks for the feedback and for watching god bless.

Great video!!!!!! Don't have this programmer, have the launch x431 with xprog 3, but this video assisted greatly with helping me to program the key fob. Two questions though 1: Did the programmer overwrite the first key slot and put the new keyfob info there or did it go to slot three(3)? 2: My keyfob progarmmed to slot 3, it starts the car but the keyless entry doesn't work, any information on how to fix this? 2010 clubman s semi smart key, no comfort access.

Dude said in another comment you have to delete one key from out of the memory of else your new fob won't lock/unlock as a third key in memory storage

What I did is you have to read the original key get that key ID then you go into the key memory and delete that key is not there and then you add the key that's it but make sure you got strong Wi-Fi and a battery maintainer

Thx. I need to know this. How much do you charge to add a new key? Does a key has to be OEM , or aftermarket is fine? Interestingly or strangely that for Mini, you have to disable 2nd slot to add a 2nd key as it only allows 2 keys in the system.

to program a key is usually 90 bucks depending the are where u live. the key I used is aftermarket and I got it from ebay. and yea the car only allows 2 keys to be used and it is weird lol
