Worked great for my 2019 Chevy Tahoe premier!! I got my original key programmed & 2 extras as well so total of 3 done & all things including starting it with all 3 remotes work❤ I seen a comment where someone said theirs didn’t work after but it did for all 3 of mine. Scared me when you said it deletes anything previously programmed including original but took the chance and it worked! Thank you so much I’m positive this saved me a bunch of money. WOW I want to thank you so much. I went to the Chevy Dealer For My 2019 Tahoe ( West Caldwell NJ) and sat for three hours for them to give me a new remote and to put a new battery in the second one. the total came to 496.00... only to find out the remotes were programed incorrectly there was no Driver 1 remote only 2 and 3. I knew something was wrong when the settings would not set. after watching your video I reprogramed them and now there is a 1 and a 2 also all my settings that were stored in the vehicle came on... OK, I have a 2019 Tahoe. When I push it to start it doesn't show a driver # on the DIC when starting and the auto seats don't move and I have the auto recall for the seats turned on in settings. Yes, it should - just remember though that you need to program in at least 2 fob total so if you only have 1 fob you will need to purchase another

Ok so, I went back out to reprogram the key fob and it had me program the 2nd fob. It was working but not says that the key is not detected and needs to be placed in the transponder area. I put in the area that you would to program the key fob and it will start but it will not remote start, lock or unlock anymore. The emergency key being cut won't effect the fob working or not. If only the second key fob is acting that way, there may just be an issue with that fob. Another this to try would be to replace the battery in the key fob but if it was working initially that may not help

The procedure shown in the video can do that. You just need to start with your remotes far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be detected by the vehicle (Once the vehicle is in programming mode you don't have to worry about keeping remotes away.) When you get towards the end of the procedure all previous remotes are erased and the order in which you program the remotes back in will determine the Driver numbers.

Im guessing your Tahoe is a 2015 or 2016 as they only require 1 working fob to enter the "add a key" procedure. Start with your working fob far enough away from the vehicle so it cannot be detected then start the procedure.

I purchased a 2017 Suburban Premier and the seller gave me two fobs. He said when he purchased it there was only one fob so bought a second from the dealer and they programmed it. However, the dealer informed him that it could only be programmed to driver 3. Since driver 2 fob was lost, it could not be erased. That seems odd and incorrect, have you heard this? I read one other person’s reply that sounded similar when he followed the procedure, but not identical. Before I mess up the current fobs, which work fine for all lock / unlock / remote start functions, is there some procedure I need to do with the vehicle to essentially tell it / force it to start over with Driver 1 followed by Driver 2? Watching your video seems that it should essentially do exactly that, but then wondered if your procedure actually adds on to whatever is already existing, meaning if I follow it, it will erase the memory of my fobs, but then actually add them as driver 4 & driver 5 (since the vehicle already thinks there are three fobs paired)? All I am trying to solve is to reprogram all so my fobs are sequenced as Driver 1 & Driver 2 so the memory functions of seat, mirrors, steering, etc. are tied to the correct fobs. Both fobs are completely functional otherwise and they appear to by GM OEM fobs, not Amazon or eBay knock-offs. If there a second video you’ve posted that speaks to procedure for adding incremental fobs versus wiping the whole system and starting complete fresh, please send me the link. The dealer was incorrect - the second fob does not to be present to be erased. The procedure shown in the video will erase all fobs and the order in which you program them back in will determine driver #. You will need to start the procedure with the working fobs far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be detected

Question - my 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premier only came with 1 fob from the dealer. I ordered a replacement off Amazon and followed the video and both fobs work without any issue, remote start included, so THANK YOU SO MUCH for saving me hundreds from what the dealer was going to charge. My issue though, the original fob (with the Chevy logo on the back) shows as Driver 1 when starting the vehicle, the replacement (no logo on the back) shows as Driver 3. I picked up an additional remote to see if I could start the process again and eventually get one of the additional remotes as Driver 2 for the memory recall seats portion, but even after doing the 30 minute programming, original is still showing as Driver 1 and BOTH additional keys are showing as Driver 3. Anyone got any ideas?

That may just be an issue with the vehicle itself as it should not program in that way. The order in which your program the remotes should determine the driver number - so the second remote that is programmed, regardless of which driver number it was before, should be stored as Driver 2.

Removing the batteries will not un-program the remotes but every time this procedure is done it should erase all previous remotes and start back at Driver 1. I would recommend doing this procedure again - keep the two working remotes far enough away from the vehicle so they cannot be read for the first step.

I say this b/c I had watched someone else doing a video and he said to keep the original key inside while waiting! This is totally confusing to me. Now nothing much works after not having the original inside while waiting!!

It doesn't matter where the new key is until the end - the new key does not come into play until after the 3rd 10 minuted period

We just went through these steps with a replacement from Amazon and now the car won’t crank.

When you press the unlock button on the Amazon replacement, there is no click like on our original fob.

Sounds like there my an issue with the fob you purchased - especially if it is aftermarket

Psa DONT get the key stuck in the sensor , it’ll get freaking stuck and it’ll time out and move on to the next key
