Thank you thank you thank you! This old lady with bad knees has been trying for 2 days to get mine going again after I changed battery. Got up on step ladder and couldn't read small print. Out of desperation I googled my garage door opener brand and I was lead here. Followed instructions and voila it works. Getting in and out of car with my replaced left knee healing to manually open and close garage door was getting old. So thank you again kind sir!

I have the same garage door opener and remote. This is NOT how the owner's manual says to do it. It is also NOT how three other KZbin videos (by garage door opener "professionals") say to do it. After struggling with these off and on for months, and finally giving up, today, for the first time in two years, ALL of my garage door opener remotes now work, and they all work on both doors! I can open either door from inside either car, or from inside the house! It took all of two minutes. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting this. There is nothing worse than having to get out of the car in Michigan when it's -20*F to open the freaking garage door. You just made my winter! :-)

James Salango 1. Have your remote handy. 2. Push the big red button on the back of the opener. 3. Push the button on the remote within a few seconds. The light on the opener flashes and you're done. You can synch several remotes to each opener.

Another thank you, incoming! My son changed the light on my garage door opener and inadvertently reset my remotes. I thought the batteries had gone dead and it took a few days for me to track down some replacements. Imagine my surprise when the new batteries didn't bring my remotes back to life. We get pretty spoiled by these things so getting in and out of the car to punch the key pad every time I left or came home was starting to really annoy me. Anyway, I decided to find a video that might help me in case i was putting the new battery in wrong or something. Well, voila! Your video helped me figure out that there was nothing wrong with my remotes that a simple re-programming couldn't cure. Thanks for posting this very helpful video!

I read the instruction manual that came with the remote and followed it carefully... 5 times. Then I turned to the internet. The manual is completely different to the instructions you gave me. Odd but it's working now 🙌🙌🙌

Very simple process as you indicated, however, the part when you mention the green light coming on after pushing the red button on the garage door opener saved me a lot of time, because, it didn't come on the first few times I tried it. After watching your video, I reprogrammed all three of my remotes within issue. Thank you.

One of buttons didn't work well on my remote so I switched the operation to another one of the three available. Couldn't figure out how to program till I saw this video. Great tutorial, simple to program. Took less than 10 seconds. Thanks.

My remote just went out this afternoon! Replace the coin battery did nothing. With your directions, it's back working again. I had never needed to use that button in the 17 years we've had the opener. I also replaced one of the two 60w bulbs -- it had burned out. Thanks for the tip! 👍

Thanks for a great video. The Crastman's instructions says press red butoon, then press and hold remote control button until light flashes. Repeated this many times and light did not flash. Your video shows press red button and then press and release remote control button. Light flashed.

Hi my friend, Did the same exact thing you described, the bulb clicks showing that remote got synchronized / paired / recognized . But when you press subsequently the garage door does not open or close. Any ideas? The wall mounted key pad works fine though. There is new brand new coin battery in remote, there is only CFL bulb in the socket ( not LED) , after repeated attempts garage door still does not open. The wall mounted garage door inside the garage, and out side the garage door facing porch work perfectly fine. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

I had a Craftsman 1/2 HP too, but it did not work. The receiver did not capture the signal from the remote opener (the light did not blink). I even tried with 3 differents remotes (2 Craftsman and 1 LiftMaster). About a year ago, it worked just fine. I can open and close the garage using the remote. Then about 6 months ago, I cannot close the garage door with the remote (OK when open it). Now, neither close nor open, ain't working. The garage lift motor is about 8 years old. Any idea?
