I wanted to say that, this was an amazing video that worked on my 2011 GMC terrain. My key fob got broken and my car went into anti theft mode causing me to be out of a car for almost 4 months. I finally got my keys cut, took them home and did what this video shows. My car starts up and drives as if it did before. I cant thank you enough, you saved me hundreds of dollar's!!!

Awesome video. I had order a fob off amazon and switched my flip key from the old remote to the new one and I went outside to turn on my car and it wouldn’t! I was so frustrated because I only had 1 key. Then I searched for videos but none were good until I found yours! Thank you I did everything in this video and my car turned on right after! Before I had gone to the dealership and they said it would be 400$ I said yeah nope.

Awesome video. My key battery died and I replaced the battery, still didn't work. Then I found this video and reprogramed the same key and it started right up. So if your key battery ever dies, you will have to watch this video. Dealership told me I had to tow it there with both keys($80 after AAA free miles). So I'm guessing saved me about $200. Thanks!

I did the programming, and it worked great, thank you! I have one issue at the moment, I also have a Viper Auto Start remote. The new keyfob won't auto start, and when I do hit the auto start, it turns on the car, but won't do anything else, and also messes with my viper auto start. To fix the viper auto start, I put the key in, start the car, click the viper auto start, it keeps the vehicle running. But it's a 50/50 if it'll start my car without the key. Not sure if this is making any sense, but do you know the fix?

THANK YOU! Worked for my 2011 Terrain SLE with remote start. (Swapping old key blade into new fob from Amazon.) OLD key fob in/out - followed by NEW fob in/out one-time didn’t work for me as it did for so many other reviewers elsewhere. I wonder if programming for the *remote start* just takes longer? I saw the lock icon disappear from my car dash display at exactly the 10 minute mark. 👍🏼 Then waited an extra minute or so - and repeated 2x. Don’t forget to REMOVE the new key after step 3 - before cranking. (I swear I was following directions so carefully and still missed that. Nervous about somehow erasing my only good key programing and winding up with zero working keys and a big locksmith bill.) 😘

I’m having an issue with my 2011 Terrain not starting. I only have one key that has worked fine, but twice in the past two days it would only crank once, then after turning the ignition back to off and trying again it would start but the light with the lock would show on the dash afterward while driving. Now it won’t start at all, but it does have power to the accessories. I’m sure it’s not a dead battery and I tried jumping it to be sure with no change. I’m thinking it’s either the key or something on the ignition side. Is it possible for a key to become no longer programmed?

How do I reprogram the buttons in the key? I got a new shell for my fob, but in the process I left the battery put for a long period of time since my old fob kept setting my alarm off from the button being stuck. Now with the new fob, the only thing that does work, is the key itself. And the battery has to be In for it to work.

There is no manual procedure to program the transponder key for a 2003 Accord.

2016 Terrain. I did this and it worked fine, UNTIL i shut it off and try to restart it. The same if I program it, and come back later and try to use it.

Ok so I'm need some advice. My car won't turn on at all tested starter, got new battery and don't believe the alternator is bad because my battery stays fully charged. When we turn the key nothing happens except that we turned the key. If our key isn't working would this "reprogram" our key? Or would it be best to just get a new key? Any input will help car has been sitting for 5 days and we've had no luck

I don't think the key is your issue. Even if the key is not programmed you should still be able to turn the car to the accessory or on position and have power - some vehicles will even actually start the vehicle with a unprogrammed key, it just dies after a couple seconds.
