Thank you very much. I awoke in Upstate New York this morning and was freezing cold despite having set the thermostat overnight at 72 degrees. It was now reading 65 degrees. How? I soon realized that it was on a "temporary" hold, and I did not know how to change the setting to "permanent" hold. I watched this video and Josh was super in explaining it to me - an aging woman. Now, I am feeling warmer and toastier. Thank you, Josh.

I purchased my home in Dec. Heat worked fine. Way too hot upstairs & cold downstairs. Realized I had a programmable thermostat after reading manual. Now heat will not increase above 60 and I am VERY COLD now in NJ. I reset the system after learning how last night and nothing. I've tried different fan modes too. I have it setat 75 to come on and warm up, but nothing. Doing a test, not sure what it does & nothing. I see some things nit being discussed under ISU 120 0 & you can increase. Then you can change it to all of these different 3 and four digit numbers with a sub number. What is going on. I'm soooo frustrated. The manual is useless. PLEASE HELP before I have to call a service.

@Rae Bridges I think if you like set a heat point at 80 degrees and cool at 65 degrees, the Cooling will turn on if the heat inside house reaches 80 and the Cooling will turn of if it reaches 65. I am not entirely sure and I am also not a expert don't take my words serious, I am just guessing.
@dih706Ай бұрын
@@TheUltimate497 You've got that backwards. The cool temp would be higher than the heat temp. Then the unit will keep it between those. Like set heat to come on when it gets down to 67. and AC to come on if it gets above 77 or so. And if it's a nice comfy temp it stays off and you save $. (But like Josh said set the fan to run by itself sometimes to keep your air circulated and clean)

HEllo Ren, I have same issue with my model. In fact the technician who installed was against to use this PROG mode and unable it. This comes to the ISU parameter to be configured correctly (Center and + button pushed for 3 sec.). I did a reset factory and then PROG mode appeared. But no more communication with the Heat Pump (too bad in this march winter). Technician yelled to me, reconfigured and back to square. I am still looking for the ISU setting to access this PROG mode. Crazy story.

To get the PROG setting, you need to change the parameter 120 in the ISU menu with the value 2. digitalassets.resideo.com/damroot/Original/10011/33-00181EFS.pdf?rv=aad05089f92145a08d5059f401052464 Page 8. Hope this helps

@johannwilder14374 жыл бұрын
It does have a 7-day program schedule. It’s kind of hidden and hard to find, but it’s under the installation setup. Hold the middle button AND the + button at the same time for 3 seconds. Then select ISU (installer setup). Scroll through the number codes until it gets to 120. This represents the scheduling options code. Choose option 4 under the code for 120. This sets it to 7-day programming. Then press HOME to finish. Now you can go to program menu (as this guy showed you in video) and it will now allow you to program each day. Cheers.

Good luck on setting this thing up. My first T6 Pro wouldn't connect to my network. I was able to call and talk to a man at Honeywell. Stepped me through the process OK. After several years this thermostat went out so I purchased another T6. The instructions told me to put my phone in airplane mode and go and log into the thermostat. I was in airplane mode which meant I could not get WIFI or blue tooth. I called Honeywell support line and the wait was 2 1/2 hours. I had my HVAC company come out and try to set it up. They did not have any luck getting this thing to work either. Right now I am using it manually. Buyer beware of getting this thing to work.

Hi my thermostat came with my new house and I have no idea how to work it, despite research into manuals, troubleshooting sites and KZbin videos. My 2 major issues are #1 Only mode choices are FAN, COOL and OFF - no AUTO. I really need auto as it's fall and the temp fluctuates greatly. The PROG setting in MENU did not help change the mode to AUTO. I'm retired and home all day so I don't need to program changes for a work schedule. Any suggestions? The back tells me I have a Honeywell Model: TH6220U2000 1730 which looks like the model shown in your video. Thanks!
@johnnygee1732 жыл бұрын
I contacted Honeywell on Twitter and they sent me the following instructions. Hi, thanks for reaching out to us. The TH6220U Thermostat does have an auto changeover mode but it needs to be turned on in the installer setup menu. Follow these steps: 1. Press and hold the CENTER and + buttons simultaneously for approximately 3 seconds to enter the advanced menu. Then press Select to enter ISU. 2. Press Select to cycle through menu setup options and stop at function number 300 (displayed at top of the screen), then press the + or - button to change the setting to 1. Press select to save your settings.

What is the temp spread between switching from heating to cooling mode in system auto?
@johnnygee1732 жыл бұрын
According to the installation manual, it is set from 0-5 degrees F. "The differential is the minimum number of degrees from set-point needed to switch from the last mode running (heat or cool) to the opposite mode when the thermostat is in auto changeover." If I understand correctly, if it last ran to cool the temp to a set point of 72 degrees F and the temp drops to 67 degrees F after the unit switches off, it will switch to heating until the temp reaches the 72 degree set-point.
