Great company and device, I bought a 2009 JK only had one key , dealer wanted 350 for new key. With Toms for 180 got 2 keys cut and the programming was almost flawless. A few vehicles need the door shut, so we recommend doing that asap general rule. But on some vehicles an open door will not cause a problem. Follow instructions in your manual just to be sure.

If your replacement key doesn't have a light on the panic button you DON'T need to complete the activation with that 3 digit code. You can just proceed to the pairing steps. Took me way too long to figure this out.
