Thank you! Just had garage replacements from a local company. The man has been out 2x with 4 different units and said my house wiring must be wrong bc he couldnt get the doors to work. Frustrated after days of waiting I watched numerous videos and then came across yours. I went and used a universal remote I had previously, watched your video and programmed my door just fine! The man must be an idiot. Can’t wait until he shows up Monday w yet again different product and I show him he can’t do his job he claimed to be in for 17years.

Finally! I moved into a place and didn't have the keypad code from the previous resident. I just reset the code after watching the video and can now make use of my keypad. Worked fine, easy to do. Thanks.

I really did get a lot. Of help from yuor video fixed my garage door sensor.s and remote so the wife can park her car inside once agian. I never would have done without the video thankssssssssssss sonny

How come you didn't mention the handy feature for Linear openers of just deleting *one* code at a time by simply repeating the same steps as you would to program a new remote? To Delete *one* code at time: 1. Press Learn (LED will switch on) 2. Press Remote Button in

Thanks! Lifesaver as I forgot my garage keypad code and had to reset it. Followed how to program garage door keypad without a problem. Question, does it remove my old keypad code though when following your instructions to just set the garage code keypad door? Thanks again.

To get rid of the old code you have to remove all codes by presing in the learn buttion.

When I test the remote, the light on the opener at the ceiling flashes. It won't open. Help. I have carefully repeated the process several times.

This video describes how to program remotes for the first time. It also describes how to erase all remotes. But what if someone only wants to change the code on the keypad? Does programming it, as if from scratch, eliminate the original code? Or would it add a second code? Or, as mentioned by someone else below, in order to change the code on our numeric keypad, do we have to clear all remotes and then reprogram them all from scratch? In other words, is there no way to change the keypad code without reprogramming all other remotes as well?

My linear LD033 the clicker has to be within 3 feet of the opener for it to work, the learning light is always on, kinda flickering but always on. wall panel works. reprogrammed the opener, changed battery, clicker works on another door. erased memory and reprogrammed it, unplugged the opener and non worked, any tips

When you do a reset and re-program does it send an entirely new code? One of my clickers got stolen so I'm working off the additional one and my built in feature in my Acura SUV head console. I cleared the remotes, checked + Acura and confirmed not working. I then program one remote and it works fine. I did nothing with the Acura and it still works which now has me puzzled.

It didn't work! I was so excited...and then it didn't work! :( All of the sudden, both of my garage door openers stopped working. I replaced both batteries, still zip! Did this learn button thing and they are both still as dumb as rocks!

You are incorrect on LiftMaster - You have 30 seconds to program, and you hold the button for _six_ seconds to erase codes.

LINEAR GARAGE DOOR OPENER INSTRUCTIONS for Resetting: To change the keypad code. Step 1: ERASE CURRENT CODES - On the upper right hand corner of the left hand side of the unit, you will see a "learn" button. Press and hold the "learn" button for 12 seconds. When you release the learn button, the red light above the button will blink 3 times and then come on bright for 15 seconds. When the light goes out, the MEMORY IS ERASED. Step 2: LEARN A NEW CODE - Press and release the "learn" button. The red light will come on. You now have 15 seconds to complete the next task. Go to your keypad and enter your desired code (1 to 6 digits long) press start/stop on the keypad. The red light will blink when the NEW CODE is SUCCESSFULLY STORED. Don't forget to re-enter all of your hand held remotes into the memory: Press and release the learn button. When the red light comes on, press the button on the remote you wish to update. Repeat for other remotes. By the way, If you hold the learn button down for 10 seconds, you'll have to start over and the memory will be erased.
