Thanks for your advice, I have an older Linear LD033, I had a friend of mine add some outlets in, one was the garage door opener. When he finished we try the pad on the wall and everything worked great. The next day I return home and tried to open the door and nothing happened. Found the their guide on line, couldn't get to work . Looked at a few KZbin videos tried their advice and called it a night. Looked at your and you explained how to remove all remote devices by pressing the Learn button and holding it. I did it and reprogramed 2 remotes and 2 cars in less than five minutes. Thanks so much, could not have done it myself without your instructions and my next step was to call the installer $$$$. Have a Great Day

I had two remotes and lost one, bought another one so now if I program in the new one will the opener still remember the original one and the new one since their two different codes?

Thank you for the video. I followed it exactly as you described and it worked. The problem is when I get more than 10 feet away, it doesn't work. The led will flash when I press the button, but the door won't open or close. What would cause that? Thank you

There could be several issues going on. I would start with getting a new battery in the remote. Then I would consider any home network or any wireless devices that may have been added recently that may be causing interference. Next look at the way your antenna is positioned, it should be pointing straight up. Lastly, make sure the motor is grounded, poor grounds can cause range issues.

@@davejennyvandenheuvel6626 Also check to see if you are using a LED lightbulb in the garage door opener. Those can interfere with the remote signal. If you want to use a LED bulb, get one specifically for garage door openers that are designed not to interfere with the signal.

Thanks, but I was a little confused bc my LEARN button wasn't on the back of the unit. God told me to check the other side and it was on the side of my unit. Worked like a charm after that. Pushed LEARN button and then my key chain Linear compatible remote and it worked. So simple I shouted!!! Love Linear Garage Door Openers....

Trying to figure out what remote I need. I dont have the motor manual. The invoice doest have any model info on it. The motor case has a sticker on it (much like the one in this video) with the ID code 228470d - not sure if this means anything in terms of finding a compatible remote. I don't want to have to take the case apart to see if there is other info under the case, there are wires , screws and such to deal with. Is there any way to determine what type of remote I need? My garage motor looks like the one in this video...

My linear LD033 the clicker has to be within 3 feet of the opener for it to work, the learning light is always on, kinda flickering but always on. wall panel works. reprogrammed the opener, changed battery, clicker works on another door. erased memory and reprogrammed it, unplugged the opener and non worked, any tips

If the learn light is flickering that means there is interference on that frequency. Something environmental is also on the same frequency causing static. Essentially that learn light flickering is a readout of any thing on that frequency, if you address the interference you’ll get better range.

Check to see if you are using a LED bulb in your garage door opener. A standard LED bulb will interfere with the signal. If you want to use an LED bulb, get one specifically designed for garage door openers. They sell them in the garage door section at Home Depot.

Not "Len ear", but "Lin ee er", like traveling in a straight line, or a straight line on a graph that represents a equation. (A linear equation). Also, "two 1/2 turns" is the same as "four 1/4 turns" or "eight 1/8th turns", but it is properly expressed in it's lowest forms, so "two 1/2 turns" is properly expressed as "one whole turn". You do a good job, (got my door working correctly after blowing a circuit board.), but it is important to be correctly technical.
