Does this work for new keypads? My old one was damaged so I ordered a new one from Amazon. Is it the same process?

It all depends on the antenna color and frequency of the opener and keypad. Sometimes you just need to press learn button then pin. Other times it’s a process. Instructions should be on the keypad as well.

Once I program the keypad the key fobs stop working. Any advice and vice versa?

Your opener could be at its max allowed accessories. So it could be losing the remote when the keypad gets programmed. Try erasing everything and starting fresh.

After you enter the code it says press enter until you hear the click. Do you hold a button down until you hear the click or do you continually hit the button until it clicks?

Usually you press the enter repeatedly till it clicks or the light flashes. Sometimes you have to press 0 to save on universal keypads.

When I hold my pound and star buttons the pad just remains lit. It doesn't blink, can you help?

it did not work press and held the *# stopped blinking hit the yellow button the above garage unit than back to program number and enter still boinked hit zero stopped blinking .but doesn't work

Try just pressing the yellow button and pressing your 4 digit code then enter. See if that works.
