The quadratic formula is a great program to have on your graphing calculator because it enables you to solve polynomials in a faster amount of time. Yesterday in chemistry workshop we worked on a question involving a quadratic equation for like 20 minutes and I never did get the correct answer to come out on my calculator. Then my chemistry professor linked us to your video, and now I can get the correct answer in 5 seconds. Considering how time-constrained his tests are, this will make a big difference. After you get a decimal, hit the MATH button and then hit enter again under FRAC. The calculator will not always give you a fraction if the decimal is some absurd number.

@@farquaad5519 I think it's because some decimals don't simplify to a fraction, even a really big one. I've had this happen a few times, but I don't know if that's the reason for all of them. You might want to double check this haha

Everybody getting a syntax error after cross-checking your code to see if you made a mistake this is what to do especially if you have a TI-83 calculator. When you're inputting the negative value for either A, B or C; you are not meant to use the minus sign you are meant to use use the negative sign.

no syntax...it's working great... check what kind of exponent did you make? is it the carrot sign if yes then change it to button for the square root is exponent as well.then it should work...best of luck and thanks for the person that created this video!!

In case you get complex roots
