Hello Capt, I hail from New Delhi (India) and am planing to pursue CPL (MEIR) from one of the canadian flight schools. I had some questions post watching your video. I would be highly obliged if you could shed some light on the below: - While we are pursuing our course, are we allowed to work part time? - All the jobs and streams of jobs you've mentioned in the video are open for candidates NOT holding a PR as well? - Comparing the Indian vs Canadian Aviation Market (in jobs perspective), which one do you prefer? I know each have their own pro's and con's, just want your word from your experience. - How hard/tedious can it get to land up with an ideal job?

Very informative video! Great stuff. Do you have a video on what you recommend for training path? Aviation school, self-paced local flight school, accelerated program and best way to build those 2000 hours. It seems employers look for 2000+ hours in turbine, right seat multi-crew, multi-engine...but to get those, those same positions also require the same requirements sometimes. So is the only way to build those hours instructing?

Hello Sir. Thank you so much for this informative video. I just have a query about the PR. Which should I choose? 1) Go for a Diploma degree with flight training to get more points for PR 2) Go for Normal Modular Training. I just passed my Higher School and want to take my flight training in Canada but confused about what to choose between Normal Modular Training and Diploma. What's your opinion about getting PR considering my above 2 points? Will I get PR only with Modular Training?
@flyingtrucker4382 жыл бұрын
I highly recommend to do the flight training, cause the sooner you step into aviation the better it is for you. And doing a diploma course once you get a PR, you ll end up spending half or even less tuition fees. I believe if you do things right you ll get a PR by just doing flight training.

Thanks for the video bro, I have two question if you don't mind, 1) Is 18 months of flying as an instructor enough to get 1500 hrs (Vancouver weather) ? 2) What if my PGWP expired after 18 months of flying and I didn't exactly reach 1500 hrs ?
@flyingtrucker4382 жыл бұрын
There are lot of variables in your first question. It all depends on the school. Now to clear another myth, Vancouver weather not being the coldest in the country doesn't mean it has the best weather to fly. Usually provinces like Manitoba have way more sunny days a year. Though I have to say if a flight school is pretty busy you can make around 80 to 100 hours a month. Getting 1500 hours before your pgwp expires gets you nothing. You have to make sure you apply for PR by then and worst case if you are not able to you can always get a closed work permit with your employer Now to answer

@flyingtrucker4382 жыл бұрын
In north America, companies hires candidates and provide them with the type rating based on the aircraft they want to you to fly. Having a prior type rating doesn't give you an upper hand as long as you meet their requirements and perform well in the interview. Definitely will give you an advantage during the training I believe.
