And yet, sometimes there are very good reasons why a brother may be, and stay, far away. Many times a father’s wise counsel is not fully appreciated or valued until later in life, usually after bitter experience has beaten us up some. I did not believe it then, but as time passed on it has come to full circle. It is a bloody shame the human nature can be so cruel.
