I really liked this episode, and I would like to know more about what kinds of antihistamine foods and bitter vegetables I should get to reduce inflammation in the gut and to improve motility.

all very interesting. I am coming off PPIs after a decade of use. The weaning process I am handling slowly decreasing. I had gastric issues that were bordering on an ulcer at one point. I would have gastric acid rising between meals, which at the time were very distant from one another. I had cramping and digestive shut down several times. (Dixarit, for hot flushes, was not helpful, either, causing gut shut down even while taking omeprazole.) I was told i had too much acid and needed to go on the PPI. I would value hearing some of your opinions on hyper gastric production. My life style has changed and decreasing my PPIs slowly is so far, 2 months into reduction, not caused issues. I am on half dose (10 mgs) each day and about to lower that to half one day and no PPI the next..........

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Coming off PPIs can indeed be challenging, and it sounds like you're taking a thoughtful and gradual approach to the process. It's encouraging to hear that you're experiencing success with reducing your PPI dosage. It's important to consult with a doctor or health care provider as they can provide personalized guidance based on your individual health needs and medical history. We wish you light and health in your journey.🙏

@@GoodnessLover thank you for your observations. I have witnessed mental health clients go cold turkey off their medications, and seen the effects. I, too, advise that they could tell the doctor they want off or at least an adjustment if they are aware of some side effects that disturb them. The GPs on national health services are not as attentive to everyday patients regarding omeprazole. If it doesn't go well, I will let them know what i have attempted to do. Meanwhile, I have gleaned so much information and indications about digestion from these interviews that I can be a bit more assiduous about my eating plans. Thank you.

Many super helpful tips on improving digestion. Drinking cold liquids impairs acid production in the stomach. You wouldn't want to be drinking cold liquids , especially at meal times. Bitter things herbs...... help stimulate acid production. It would be good to take the bitter herbs..... like Wendy said before a meal. The stomach acid would then be already up and running before the food enters the stomach. Eating the heavier meal earlier on in the day is goiod practical advice. The body needs to get on with other important issues in the body.. while you're asleep. If it's dealing with digestion , it can't do those other important things, that helps the body function properly. We eat, so it is important we know what to eat , and what to avoid.. Also how to ensure the body breaks down the food we eat properly. Good digestion.

I have high stomach acid with Gerd/LPR every night and upon waking. I also have constipation, the high acid was picked up on the Heidelberg test, I thought constipation meant low stomach 🧐. How can I treat my reflux/Gerd and constipation? I think I have low seratonin, how do I increase this, I’m post menopausal.?Thanks 🙂
