I found your channel because I wanted to explain how to pronounce this specific name to someone. I subscribed because your language explanations are so thorough and careful, and not condescending (but a bit cheeky, which makes them more fun!) I know they'll be helpful to share with others, so thank you! BTW, I read your "about" page, and while your accent is fairly "neutral", as a Canadian expat, I pegged you as Canadian almost immediately. I couldn't say why, however. Something about the vowels, I think.

Since letters are used to convey a sound through someones eye, into their minds, and then be able to be recreated by them speaking, if the letters you are giving them are coming out wrong thats on you, but if you give an American that combination of letters they will pronounce is HER mes. If you have to have youtube videos to explain it the problem is fundamental.
