Muy útil. He completado el curso de Duolingo, y tengo unas habilidades en escribir y leer, y ahora es tiempo para aprender hablar y pronunciar el R es bastante difícil.

Top 3 difficult things for me as a native Danish speaker were: 1) Vast number of verb conjugations 2) Subjuntivo vs. indicativo 3) Pronunciation of trilled r

Wow! For me as a Ukrainian and Russian native speaker the trilled R is the way I commonly use it in my language. In fact the English R used to cause more issues for me when I was learning it.

I enjoy your channel.. If I cannot do the RR trill, how should I pronounce an R at the beginning of a sentence or a RR in the middle. Should I make these sound like a tapped R or a regular Enlgish R

Although Portuguese (at least in my native accent) doesn't have this trilled R, it's not that difficult for me to make that sound in "perro" or "carro", but when it comes at the beginning of a word, as in "rato", or after "s" (Israel), "l" (alrededor) and "n" (enriquecer), uff, ellos me ponen nervioso... jajaja
@HolaSpanish4 жыл бұрын
¡Guau! ¡Qué interesante! Claro, es que tiene mucho sentido por la pronunciación del portugués y la costumbre de la ubicación de la lengua en el paladar antes de esas consonantes que hacen que pueda ser un poco más difícil. Solo con práctica y paciencia ya verás como te sale mejor Ivo!

Chester, chester, chester... Mi amigo!!! ¡No pierdas las esperanzas! Don't lose hope if you feel you can't pronounce your Rs in Spanish. This is if not THE MOST frustrating experience for most students who start speaking Spanish. I don't want you to be discouraged, remember, the more you try, the more you practice the easier it will get. And even if you think you can't do it at the beginning, just trying will make a huge difference for your listener and Spanish speakers will understand you're saying 'perro' and not 'pero', for example. Also, context is our best friend and it will also help to make sense of what you're saying. I love your suggestion though, I'm thinking what I'll do is run a 'rolling your RRRRs in Spanish Bootcamp' in our Hola Spanish Community Facebook group. I think it will certainly help. Are you a member of our group? it's free to join
@chesterwillger70176 жыл бұрын
I think I'm a member of that group. I might try a boot camp for this but I have been working on this for almost 4 years now. I think if I say the word "butter" one more time I'll turn into a stick.

Yes! I can see you're in the group which is great. I'll tag you in the rolling the Rs challenge in the group and see if we can help you with the pronunciation. Muchas gracias por comentar :) Thank you for your comments

The most difficult part of learning spanish is while writing the words like V Or B both sounds as B ..so we keep asking B de burro or V de vaca
@HolaSpanish6 жыл бұрын
It's very true! It's hard to know if a word is spelled with B larga or V corta only by hearing someone say it for the first time in Spanish because as you mentioned it with pronounce both with a soft B. Thank you so much for you comment and for watching! ¡Muchas gracias!

¡Hola Ken! Es muy común y le pasa a muchos estudiantes, así que por favor no te desanimes y continúa intentando. Aún si haces el intento es mejor y seguramente los hispanohablantes puedes entenderte. Si quieres mejorar tu pronunciación y hablar más fluido en español te recomiendo nuestro curso en línea. My native language is Arabic so no problem at all with the R because we pronounce it the way you pronounce it in Spanish. But it was a problem for me when I was a child, I kept saying L instead of R until age 5 I think 😆 Where I grew up most children struggle with the R and don't get to say it correctly until age 5 or 6 some even take longer, and there a few who can never pronounce it correctly in their entire life ( we even have a name for those who can't pronounce the letter R 🤣) . So yeah I understand why this letter is so difficult for many people especially if it was not there in their native language.. . We also have the Kh sound like in Mejor and Gente. To me Spanish sounds very straightforward and natural because it doesn't have many vowels like French and Turkish for example. And last but not least.. Spanish songs and music are absolutely may favorite even when I didn't understand the meaning.. it just goes straight in my blood 🤣🤣
