Instant Pot Dough recipe:
2 cups flour
1-1.5 cups warm water or whey
1 tsp salt
1 tsp yeast
Grease the instant pot liner. Add dough. Set the yogurt button and check back in an hour. The dough should be doubled and ready to made bread or bagels.

Thanks for the tips on dough proofing and yogurt making. I read in the IP Duo manual that the "More" setting (as opposed to "Normal") for the Yogurt function was designed to pasteurize the milk before adding your culture. For that setting, the temp range listed was 160-180F. I wonder how high the temp gets in practice.

Interesting that you should ask! I just tested it with my thermometer and it got up to about 165. I couldn’t get it to go higher even when I try to boil it again. But based on my experience with the yogurt machine this is hot enough. But I did not know it was pressing the yogurt button more than once would turn into the boil setting. Apparently I used sauté in another video.

This was a live-stream? How did I miss it? Must have been while I was taking our dog to the vet. I have a new policy: I let the commercials play all the way through on your videos. I hope this helps. I think the Instant Pots are very cool and there may be one in the future around our house - can't be sure just yet. Wasn't there a rhyme about a certain Little Miss Muffet, her tuffet, some curds and whey, and a spider? Okay, BBQ ribs - now I sold. When the "stimulus" check gets here, an Instant Pot will be on the list of things to buy. Okay - be well and stay safe! Byee-eeeee.

Have not seen a stimulus check yet either. Hopefully arrives before those aliens land. In late 1980s Hubby saw that triangle... big as a city, hovering. His grandma also told me she saw it. Perhaps we should do a collab?

Can’t use yogurt setting for dough proofing because instant pot beeps unless lid is placed on (I tried a glass lid and plate that fit snug but still beeps) Do I now have to buy glass lid that’s made for the instant pot? They say not to use the instant pot lid because rising dough can block vent and then it will be impossible to open. I’ve looked everywhere but can’t find an answer. All the videos I’ve watched don’t seem to have this problem

Just use oven with only light on no temp. Put dough in covered bowl.

Use a measuring cup and fill it up to see how many quarts of water you put in

Press the yogurt button a few times and it will do the yogurt boil stage automatically.
