Excellent video! I found that one of my rosemary varieties root in water well, and other root in sand/soil well!

I just stick em into the soil without removing the leaves lol They seem to be doing fine with a very wet soil too, tho they don't need it. My approach is to bury a good piece so that they don't dry out, and give partial shade to ensure the same.

So glad I ran across your video! I started my cuttings in water 1st of April and they rooted good so I potted them up June 1st .They were doing good indoors and I thought they would do even better outside. July 1 st I moved them outdoors but they are starting to get brown leaves.They've also stopped growing. I have been keeping milk crates over top of the plants to filter out the light because the place I put them is full sun. Please tell me what I am doing wrong before they die thanks!
@DaysWellSpent4 жыл бұрын
It's probably too hot for them. I'm not sure where you live but I'd take them back inside until it cools down some. Are you keeping the soil moist.

My country is sunshine all year round as it’s a tropical country. In other words, can I grow my rosemary anytime of the year?
@Oddy.S3 жыл бұрын
I believe it's a plant that does well being over watered . The only reason it'll spoil at the root would be due to lack of drainage .. much luck 😁

Can rosemary be planted outside in areas that have hard freezes in the winter ( below zero at times in January and February)?I have two potted bushes I keep inside during the winter and was wanting to try growing some cuttings outside during the summer and leaving them.

We don't have long cold winters in Texas but we do get below freezing in Jan and Feb and mine survives.

Hi, thank you for showing us in a great way, I am from Indonesia and live in Indonesia, I want to ask can we plant the rosemary from grocery stores? It's just hard to get this plant planted in my country. Thank you
@chantakzee5 жыл бұрын
Yes you can , just remember rosemary can't have too much water and loves the sun, that being said, knowing indonesia climate, remember to shade it a bit during the hottest season and water it a little more frequently.

@thatboyollie46925 жыл бұрын
I find it faster to just put rosemary straight into water and in a month you get roots,not a couple of months
@DaysWellSpent5 жыл бұрын
That does work but you should change the water every few days, that's something I'm not great at remembering to do during the school year. Do what works best for! There are so many ways to do it.

Who much should I water my 8 inch tall rosemary plant this is my 4th rosemary plant they always die😬
@DaysWellSpent4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on where you live and where it is planted. Is it in the ground or a pot? For my potter rosemary that has established roots I just keep the soil moist, never wet.

@@DaysWellSpent unfortunately this isn't organic. To truly be organic it has to be OMRI listed. Alfalfa meal would be a natural alternative rooting hormone (as long as the alfalfa itself was also organic) but Miracle Grow is synthetic and it does matter, a lot. The sole reason for organic agriculture is to stay away from stuff just like this.. I don't want to come off as arrogant because text can seem that way but it's kind of a bad look for someone at a market using this and claiming organic methods were used. You are a great direct teacher and seem very genuine and this is the first video I've ever seen of yours but you might want to snip that part out in the vid editor or put a text box in to correct that.
