I'm doing this willy-nilly with really old Take Root and regular potting soil mixed with dirt, just trying all sorts of thickness and new growth. I can't find these in any stores - they get bought out fast. Got about 20%-25% rate of success, and I try to do 10 at a time (I'm basically just cutting and plopping without regard). I should have enough survivors in a month to finally create a hedge.

Dear Vuon. This is very informative, thank you for the video. How long will you cover a small quantity of the cuttings with polythene (plastic) bag before you open for air circulation?

Hello, I plucked a piece of plumbago and put it in water, I had to plant it directly in my soil for it to root.
@vanloan3 жыл бұрын
You can propagate plumbago in clean water (2-3 days to change clean water once) when the plant has roots about 4-5cm long, it can be planted in soil.

Thanks for the video. Do I have to get the cuttings from the part of the plant that are flowering?

Can I use organic rooting hormone like honey & cinnamon?
@vanloan3 жыл бұрын
In fact, Plumbago doesn't need the use of rooting hormone, it just assists the roots to grow healthier!

Que água amarelada é essa que vcs colocam elas dentro antes de colocar no solo???🤔🤔🤔

The yellow water solution in which I dipped Plumbago before propagating by cuttings is a rooting stimulant (NAA 1000ppm). Você pode usar estimulante de enraizamento em pó, como + Hormodin + Bontone II Rooting Powder + Dip N Grow Stem cutting from mandevilla can be taken in the spring or summer. Choose side shoots 2-3 inches long and cut them from the plant. Dip the cut ends in powdered rooting hormone (NAA 1000ppm) and insert them into sandy peat soil.

Plumbago can be grown under sunlight?
@vanloan3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Plumbago can be grown in locations with indirect sunlight or directly outdoors. Seedlings less than 40cm tall can be planted in a position of 30% less light in indirect light, Plumbago will grow better.

What kind of liquid is that?
@vanloan3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Liquid is NAA is a synthetic plant hormone in the auxin family and is an ingredient in many commercial plant rooting horticultural products; it is a rooting agent and used for the vegetative propagation of plants from stem and leaf cuttings. It is also used for plant tissue culture.

Hi, You can use IBA (150ppm) or NAA (150ppm) : Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA): A chemical form of the plant hormone, auxin, IBA triggers root growth and is found in many commercial rooting hormone products of all types. Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA): Similar to IBA, NAA is a synthetic chemical formulation that stimulates root growth and retards rotting. It is often found in all three types of rooting products. + Such as: - Clonex HydroDynamics Rooting Gel - Hormex Rooting Hormone Powder - Bonide 925 Bontone Rooting Powder

I've found growing plants from cuttings like hydrangea,plumbago,hibiscus to name a few, do just as well,if not better , by sticking them in plain dirt or in plain water to root,nothing fancy spancy as all these " how to " videos.

In my country, the temperature is high and it rains a lot, if you just stick the tree in the mud of the riverbed, it is easy to wilt. As for cuttings in water, it is quite convenient to make a small amount and must regularly change the water after 3-4 days. And plants will lose their vitality when moving from water to soil.
