Great video!! Beautiful new plant. Thanks for showing the entire process. I’m certain especially newbies will appreciate the thought that goes into planting the cuttings. Details like soaking the terracotta first are so Important. I must say though, my very favorite part of your videos is how quiet the music is. So many KZbinrs have their music obnoxiously loud. You have become my absolute favorite to watch! Love all your content. Always fun to hear about your wife and ‘kids’. ❤️

Thanks Becky so much for this comment. I try and make my videos entertaining enough that people keep returning, but at the same time not over the top theatrics hahaha I am so glad you appreciate the smaller things I do in the videos (like quieter music), so this feedback is very useful to me....THANK YOU!

I agree with the music part for sure. It is often just distracting and unnecessary in many cases.
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
@@vickiandKi it's not too distracting for my videos?
@vickiandKi2 жыл бұрын
@@EverythingPlants No, it isn't. I have become super sensitive to background music, not in a great way. It can annoy me at times, it's very hard to explain. Your music is so benign that I hardly even notice for the most part. Some KZbinrs have used music (say during a big box shopping video or fast forwarding mundane tasks) that feels like you should be watching something elicit from the 70's. There is nothing at all off putting about your videos. And like other viewers have expressed, involving the dogs and mentioning the family makes your videos that much more relatable and real.

I chopped my trailing plants on January 17th. Tons of cuttings. My neon Pothos went crazy. I cut it back to the pot. Left a node on each end and pinned it to the soil. It's now like a basketball, so full on top. The pinned ends grew new leaves as well, rather than beginning to trail quickly. Great video 🌟, so helpful for anyone.🥰👍

@@EverythingPlants the Neon Pothos in your video would be perfect. Push that trail end that you cut to inside and down. That point should grow right into the soil. My marble Queen has 3 trail roots growing in, no pin. Humidity by her, helped those Arial roots hit the soil and grow 😍🤩🥰.

I just repotted a Monstera deliciousa into a terracotta out without soaking it in water first and I initially flipped as to why I poured in the equivalent of a swimming pool into the pot and didn’t see any water coming out. Figured out it was wicking the water and not that I had compressed soil so Great Tip. I’m propagating some of these Brazil and Neon Pothos for a loved one and will definitely plant them into the same pot. Great result and thanks for sharing:)

Loved the combination of the two plants….gorgeous! I’ve been looking at the long legs of my golden pothos thinking springtime. I appreciate the information you presented. I’ll try cutting it back to the pot edge….was going to leave it about a foot long but I’m going to try it your way because there’s a lot of empty space in my pot and I want it to be bushier. I have a cebu blue that grows all over and I might try the same technique on that too. I love your videos💚🪴💚 your new camera is great and the music makes it awesome. The exotica is my dream plant …. although I am happy with a gifted argyreaus cutting I rooted and potted in soil. It’s growing slowwwwwwly but surely!
@gloriaa.48582 жыл бұрын
Know what you mean with that argyreaus. Got it at Walmart 2 years ago. It did nothing except continue to die. Moved it away from good sunlight to a corner with just a lamp. Waited for it to continue dying, but to my surprise, it began to grow and flourish. It dominates the table now, and I must propagate but was hesitant until watching this video.
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You could always leave that foot long section and see how it decides to respond and then take all those individual cuttings and eventually add them back into the pot for a more bushier pot. Which ever way you choose....good luck and keep me posted!

LOVE this combination! The neon and brasil look fantastic together! Over a month ago, I took cuttings from my pothos n’joy and monstera adansonii and placed both in one water jar in front of grow lights, changing water weekly and nothing has happened. I’ve now transferred to a perlite prop box because I don’t want to give up. Have you ever experienced this?
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
How close or far away is the light source. It might not be getting enough light. Thanks surprising because pothos usually root quickly. The adansonii may take a bit longer, but those two are usually root easy. My guess is that light isn't close or strong enough.
@athenag.16342 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jeff! It is about a foot away from the grow light, which may not be the strongest, I’m guessing. I will move my prop box closer to the light and keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again for your suggestion!

Great video and great timing! I have a Brazil and a golden pothos I need to chop and prop too! But I want to put the cuttings back into the same pots I took them from to make them fuller. Would you recommend propping them in Perlite instead of water so the transition back to dirt will be easier and more chance of success?
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
I have water propagated and then planted them into a seperate pot of soil. Once the transition to soil then you can combine the two pots to make one bushy pot. Hope that makes sense. Or you can definitely try the perlite method 👍
