I couldn’t find this plant locally except for a random small piece of it in an assorted arrangement. I bought the dumb $20 arrangement just to get my Manjula, I’m that person 🤦🏾♀️ She hated soil and now is happy in DIY pon. Leaves are getting bigger and she sent out a new growth point. The variegation on yours is gorgeous. Thanks for the info.
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
What else did you get with the arrangement? And that is strange a pothos didn't like soil. I'm so glad to hear it is doing well for you. Thanks Theresa!
@Dollsanity2 жыл бұрын
@@EverythingPlants To be fair, it could be that it hated ME for not knowing how to water her properly lol. She drinks up water like crazy in pon, so I probably underwatered her in soil. In the arrangement I got a regular green pothos, a pink fittonia and a dracena marginata. It was a pretty ugly setup 🤷🏾♀️
@DionneRoxanne2 жыл бұрын
My manjula didn't do well in soil either. It is thriving in a stratum-perlite mix and will probably move it to pon as well.

So pretty. I’ve lost about 6 or 7 plants this spring. Can’t figure it out, so I just through them out and might transition to mostly cacti. They do good. I just bought a silver leafed rhododendron which had mites, or something. Losing that was disappointing. I should have checked the leaves and stem before I bought it. Still love plants.
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
If you lost that many at once I would think it was a pest....depending on what type of plant, you can always cut it back to the soil and throw out the leaves. Just a though for next time as buying plants ain't cheap lol

@funnylittlecactus46722 жыл бұрын
I finally got two different manjula cuttings around last Christmas. The one that was my favorite got root rot some how and the other one has been totally fine. I literally just went and looked at the one that had root rot, I cut the dead roots off and rerooted it, and she has spider mites. I noticed one of the leaves looked like it was on it's way out and since I'm dealing with thrips on a few others I thought I'd look her over too. No thrips, but I did see several of the spider mites. I just sprayed her down with some captain Jack's. I didn't see any webs so hopefully I caught them early. Other than that though I absolutely love the manjula pothos, the leaves are so pretty.
@EverythingPlants2 жыл бұрын
Hey Cara! Mine had mites as well and like you I think I could them early. I haven't seen any since. How is that root rot cutting doing? If it is struggling still then stick it in a perlite prop box!

@@EverythingPlants The damaged spot you showed on the video is exactly what mine looks like. The one that was root rotted is now fully rooted again thank goodness, that's the one that I just found the spider mites on. Found a 4.5" - 5" pot of Manjula in the middle of a bunch of other random plants at Lowe's for $7. Was pretty elated. It looked like a woman was looking through the plants trying to find something and saw me holding the Manjula. She asked if there were any others. There weren't. I felt bad and thought to give her a piece of it but wasn't sure if I'd get in trouble for breaking it up at the store.
