After hurricane Ian hit Cape Coral, I drove around and got several cuttings from plumeria that had been destroyed by the storm. All rooted in spite of inconsistent care. We are going to plant them out in the back yard by the canal now. My desert roses are doing well thanks to you! Love your channel!

Hi my friend very nice propagating you own plants from plants they got damaged by the storm, just little tips when planting your plants in the ground or pots best if you dig the hole twice the size of the pot they’re now, fill 3 thirds of the hole with 70% pine flakes, and 30% perlite mix very well and fill the hole 3/4 quart and the last quart with very good quality light weight potting soil, make sure press the soil down to avoid having any air pockets, when planting in the ground if doesn’t rain water ones a week lightly for about four weeks after never water a plumeria to avoid the plant breaking during storms or high wind also your plants will be more strong and healthy,fertilizer any time by using osmocote high in nitrogen, or dynamic high in nitrogen, by digging a hole next to the trunk and applying the fertilizer and cover the hole after, every two years i recommend to trim each steam to train the plan to get full and grow new steams also encourage a lot blooming and make trunk thicker and strong to be ready for high wind are having rain,thank you happy planting love Maria’s g

I've got about 100 Plumerias and I think people need to understand that Maria's cuttings were 3.5-4ft cuttings. They are more hardy and have more stored energy for rooting than a 9" cutting would. You only want to water a 9" or so cutting ONCE until it gets a few full leaves. And keep them out of direct sun, only bottom heat helps roots.

Hi Maria, I just found you today! I purchased a plumeria about two and a half years ago. I got a seed pod about a year ago. I did not know what it was until I googled.. But happy to say I harvested my seeds, seventy eight of them, I gave half to my neighbor and I kept the other half. It's been two weeks now and thirty of my seeds have roots. I am waiting for pots I ordered on Amazon. This is a brand new hobby for me. TY for this video❤

Hi Maria! I'm an old subscriber from Lake Charles, LA, so subtropical. Last year, I orderied 4 Plumeria cuttings (no roots) from a vendor on Etsy. They looked to be healthy cuttings, but despite all the care and precautions I took, they all rotted! This year, I'm playing it safe and order just one that has already been ROOTED! That way, I can "hit the ground running" so to speak and not worry about rot. I'm an experienced enough gardener to handle it from there. I enjoy your videos and keep them coming! 🪴🌴

@MariasgardenGarden2 жыл бұрын
you need to trim each single stem every two years by click about 1/2 inches before winter when the plant stop growing , this encourage the plant to grow new stems and a lot blooms thank you maria’s garden 🐛🐝🐢🐞
